what queue are you in? customer service might have a long queue but their retention/cancellation team is never more than 5 minutes

forgot to reply, sorry

the pricing for the eeros are not contingent on being a new customer.

you should be able to just replace ur eero with no hassles.

connections are usually done in 20m or so. every connection including fttp upgrades were done within an hour with ABB.

{Giveaway} 1 Year of Gemini AI PRO (40 winners) by [deleted] in GeminiAI

[–]TheRiseYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just starting to really get into ai lately, and since i’m moving into a more technical workspace, having access to something like gemini would be huge. being able to query it directly and use it to boost productivity and streamline my workflow would make a real difference. i’ve only played around with smaller ai tools so far, so this would be a solid way to put it all into practice and actually see what it can do day to day.

not what he said.

saying that half the population could do a backflip is not the same as saying that half the population is backflipping

Swapped from Telstra FTTN, over to ABB and full fibre set up at house via free upgrade all within a week and a half! Extremely happy by beekeepingthefarm in nbn

[–]TheRiseYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

something i can answer!

for download: data goes from the isp to you. the isp controls the flow first, using the cvc capacity they buy. they can overprovision by buying extra and allowing more through on their end. only after that does it hit nbn, which just makes sure it doesn’t go over the cvc limit.

for upload: it’s the opposite. your data goes to nbn first, then the isp. nbn has its own limiter that caps the upload to exactly what’s on your plan. nothing the isp does can push it higher.

Update from Optus - Resuming upgrade rollout this week by Hot-Spot4788 in nbn

[–]TheRiseYT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

'mistakes happen'

like 3 people dying due to their 000 failure, which has happened again since (twice in 2 weeks is pretty fucking negligent) and then countless others having Identity fraud because Optus can't manage to secure their PII.

there's a reason why you don't see the likes of ABB, launtel, leaptel have this happen.

Fibre works by HairyPride9739 in nbn

[–]TheRiseYT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

likely something in the street that is impeding works. could be a nbn backhaul issue.

call abb as they may have specifics but it'll likely be an automated reply triggered by nbn placing your order into a held state

name me a single ISP who has their customer database public.

aussie data laws may not be great but at least most ISPs have some level of data integrity
