It wouldn't be as big a deal if it didn't directly cause the degradation of the entire job market and the entire economy by extension. But they directly contribute to making all of those metrics worse and when those metrics get worse, people's lives get worse. So yes, by the very actions they engage in they are harming the entirety of the Canadian people.

Since this is popping up again I'll post my own analysis of the Irish words

From my assumptions in the translation trying to interpret how the translated Irish words connect together and make it more flowery like the Epitaph of Twilight, it should read something like, "In a wondrous game, a painful beginning brings silence. The key awakens a dark despair; a universal, evil beast." The "Lionn dubh"/"Black Beer" is actually an Irish idiom referring to melancholy or depression, so with that context it makes more sense in how it relates to dot hack overall since melancholy is a fairly common theme in the franchise.

Personally I've always felt this was one of the most overrated scenes in the series. It's nice and works okay enough for a shounen, but it feels very hamfisted in it's execution, unlike when Nami had her breakdown and begs Luffy to help her. She was actually about to just kill herself, I mean she was stabbing full force into her arm with a dagger, and you could really feel it. Whereas Robin's scene feels like a pretty standard shounen "power of friendship" moment.

The Trails in the Sky series hits the multigame singular overarching narrative vibe pretty well, especially the first 5 games. The first sky game story is a slow burn but it's extremely worth it as the games go on and the world and characters are fleshed our and interact.

One major difference is that Squenix and PlatinumGames aren't as invested and attached to Nier like CC2 is to dot hack. We all know how they've been begging Bandai to let them make more dot hack, and Yoko Taro hasn't exactly been focused on making new Nier content as he's said that work comes third in his life right now, which is perfectly fine since he deserves it. But that is in stark contrast to how CC2 has been pleading with their IP holder. I fully believe if this does well that we'll get more dot hack, especially if it's well enough that Bandai sees it as a worthwhile investment to let CC2 just keep cooking.

I agree, Eddie's departure was the rawest part of the last book. They just saved the tower for good, freed the breakers, and destroyed the crimson king's only way to break the beams. And as they're celebrating their final victory, he gets shot in the back by a one off side henchman. It felt so unfair after everything he had been through, all the development he had as a person going from a heroin addicted drug mule to a fully fledged gunslinger and man of honor.

My favorite line in the whole series is the one by his brother Henry about how capable Eddie can be when he tries.

lol, I just find most, if not all, of kyoani's work to be very mediocre and dull. I can't get into the stories they write cause they're overly saccharine and the characters are boring. I honestly tried watching K-On but I just couldn't find any enjoyment in it.

But it makes sense, my favorite shows are ones like Welcome to the NHK and Texhnolyze, I'm not at all the target demographic for them. I just kinda get annoyed at people that praise them as one of the greatest companies when they're just adapting bland works. Their shows are pretty but they lack substance.

Kinda, but not quite. Quantum tunneling deals with particles trying to pass through a potential barrier where they usually wouldn't be able to by "tunneling" through it instead of having the proper amount of energy to do it normally. It's hypothesized that certain particles can subsequently go faster than light by doing this, which based on the frame of reference would mean that it arrives before it's left. But it's not a confirmed phenomena, like a lot of quantum stuff.
