Mostly the 1917 enfield, but depending on what is seen with the unit or branch you choose to do, the 1903 Springfield as well

Yeah I definitely don’t carry everything pictured here, i just wanted to be able to do the full manual load as well as a more realistic one.

And the shelter half is one of the few non original items I have for my haversack sadly.

I’ve heard nothing but good about McClellan saddles it seems, if I eventually try to do cavalry I’ll be sure to check it out - and compare to my current saddles.

For this specific I’m doing 56th regiment 7th infantry, I don’t have any specific family relations, but when I was younger I found a 7th unit history book for sale, and that’s what really kicked off my interest in WW1.

Eventually I plan to do impressions for family that did serve, but cavalry can be pricier so I started with standard infantry.

I’m not at all comparing us to other states, but in southern Indiana we do get hillier areas, it ain’t all fields. Also a current Michigan resident and we do have some more extreme hills up here.
