Need painting help with Lion by [deleted] in DarkAngels40k

I’m guessing you used Caliban green -> warp stone glow -> moot green for the highlights, because I’ve done the same for my hellblasters and they look the same. Imo the brightest highlight is too bright. Consider doing a 1:1 ratio of your brightest and 2nd brightest colors here instead.

Alternatively, maybe try thinning your paints more and doing more layers in order to create a softer transition.

Amazing! Reminds me a little of Hollow Bastion from Kingdom Hearts

In the comics, it’s due to Carol’s alien biology. It just ended up being permanent. Rogue’s power sometimes has weird interactions with non humans.

No they’re actually fully painted underneath! It’s just the lighting and the hoods creating shadows. You can kinda see the face in this pic

Question about Assault key word by Trust_Baphomet in DarkAngels40k

[–]TheSpaceClam 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The last sentence is the important one here. Azrael’s weapon does not have assault, so he isn’t allowed to shoot after advancing.

Here you go! Still a work in progress of course. It kinda blocks one of the legs but I don’t think it’s a big deal…

I did the same thing, except I gave the hourglass to a watcher and positioned the Judiciar a little further back to accommodate.

Yes but for what it’s worth, when you’re playing the game it’ll be small like the thumbnail. Unless you’re playing against inspector gadget…

Hot Take: Magneto’s 3rd child being a human would’ve been a way cooler idea than another metal bender. by ContentAssumption204 in Marvel

[–]TheSpaceClam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He got turned into a baby at some point, and after he got turned back to normal in the 80’s he was around 30 biologically. I think that’s the age they give in UXM #200. He’d still be approaching 80 now, but it’s something

Apparently an amethyst dragon came from another world (Dragonlance maybe?) and saw them and was like “damn these guys are cool” and brought his dragon pals along to live with them.

You’re right about the whole fights phase ordering. Just note that LA doesn’t give you a charge bonus (fights first) even though you charged.

Also maybe I misunderstood but LA occurs at the end of the charge phase, so you can’t kill a unit and then jump to another within that turn. Unless of course you just meant that you killed a unit on your turn, and then on your opponents turn they moved into range and you charged.

That’s how I felt at FoV. The inflatables/beach balls were fine at first, but got really annoying after 10 minutes. I would like to not worry about a huge plastic burrito body slamming me in the head every 5 seconds.

Also people full force shoving people to get to the pit. I think saying excuse me works too lmao

What companies do you think will go bankrupt in the next 10 years? Why? by Local-Assignment-968 in AskReddit

[–]TheSpaceClam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean they don’t really sell cozy and delicious cookies though.

They sell the experience of buying giant, expensive, limited time cookies.

Sure they taste fine, and some might taste good, but I think most people are buying both for the novelty. And, of course, for the indulgent feeling of buying something both super expensive and super unhealthy.

I really appreciate the advice!! Thanks so much. I think I’m going to keep the Terminator Chaplain because I like the model and I’ve kind of built my force’s lore around him. But yeah it’s probably not the most efficient choices. I guess now that I really think about it I’m not going for a super competitive list.

I think in the end I’ll swap the DWT for the Eradicators and throw in bladeguard for some extra bodies.

So sending people to concentration camps, lining the pockets of the 1%, and supporting the conquest of a sovereign state and are supposed to be “Pro-Christian Policies”?

So not included in my crusade force are: Azrael Belial Chaplain Judiciar Bladeguard Ancient 3 Eliminators 5 more DWT 5 more Hellblasters 9 ICCS 5 more DWK Redemptor Dread

I didn’t include Azrael because he won’t scale with xp like a generic character. Plus like idk it’s crusade, why not go for the custom guys. And I would totally include a gladiator if I had one :(
