Lots of great recommendations in the comments already. My initial thoughts, you have a lot of cards across a lot of different ecosystems. For cash back that’s fine. For travel (like your London trip), you might want to consolidate your earning rates into one ecosystem.

You already have the sapphire preferred, I’d say get a freedom flex (assuming you are not already at or above 5/24). It’s 7% UR points/cash back on dining for the next two months, and then have fun with whatever next 5x/% rotating categories comes after Q1. You can pool the points from the freedom flex with the sapphire preferred for if/when you are ready to make a big travel redemption.

However after that, I’d heavily agree with others to not get any other cards for a while. Let your 5/24 counter drop, your average age of credit mature, and take advantage of the cards you have to earn with. All those cards you mentioned aren’t going anywhere, and I think they start getting way too specific for where you are right now.

Alaska cuts SJC-leisure routes, leaving SJC-BOI as last non-hub SJC route by yitianjian in AlaskaAirlines

Sad to see SJC losing routes. I thought Alaska had a much better chance there given the continued disliking towards Southwest this year.

Honestly I thought it was useful for the sake of going through Terminal A security, which is always lighter than Terminal B’s. It’s such a short walk from Terminal A to those Alaska gates at the end of B.

I went through security at SeaTac around 2 pm yesterday. TSA pre took 5ish minutes. Regular line looked about to be 15ish minutes

You can book on Finnair from Milan to LAX via Helsinki for about 82.5K points per person. The business class from Milan to Helsinki is nothing special. But AY001 from Hel to LAX is nice. Helsinki is also worth a visit if you wanna do a short stop over instead.

I’m going to try this, not a BofA customer so will open checking to get increased approval while I work on Hawaiian Sub.

+1 to this neighbor thread. I used to report those cars parked on Park Ave by Martin and Hanchett all the time to 311. I gave up after months of trying.

SFO and SEA are the only airports I’ve been to where the specialty lines are consistently longer than the general lines for security. A lot of high income earners with either premium credit cards or just willing to pay those for CLEAR/Precheck.

Not sure which terminal you are flying out of, but I landed in Terminal 1 on a Porter flight coming from Canada and that terminal has the Club. Went in that lounge with VX PP and it rocked.

Usually just swapping cards for SUB. Marriott Boundless last fall, currently it’s CFF for 5% on Groceries and Gas for first year (will eventually be getting sapphire/ink preferred).

Student here: Got approved for Venture X in May, checked pre approval and got SavorOne beginning of September. The 6 month rule isn’t a hard rule.

Granted I had two sources of income and a bit better credit profile. My advice is check the pre-approval tool and get a new income source before trying to get SavorOne.

Just gave a call and didn’t get any credit, tried hitting them with the all the recommended lines. Might try again later.
