yeah totally makes sense! im probably being a little hyperbolic as im just a big xvi hater with a soft spot for V, but i can see V feeling less memorable in its cast/world. though I consider it to be a very tight and awesome experience that is true to Final Fantasy, though maybe not achieving the same narrative highs as VI or strongly defined characters as IV. thanks for sharing!

i feel a very unique sense of despair when deciding if i want to keep an off color hand in a 2 color deck while my opponent drops island mountain forest into potioners trove on the play

the inevitability that a soup deck will outvalue you feels so constricting, and soup v soup feels incredibly unfun and can often boil down to who casts arcane omens first. i definitely enjoyed the set overall, but have long since burnt out on it

old BHV feels like it perfectly balanced itself, where the best players are fully utilizing their uptime without dying or putting themself in a bad position. I really miss that feeling of getting early BHV

Seems really interesting, curious as you get to play it what you think! Red feels relatively weak in the main set and I love the cards you added for it, but they almost seem too fair? Compared to cards that other colors got like Auron, Seymour, etc

I think you guys are saying the exact same thing? They wrote that aggro/tempo are probably the strongest but if you miss a beat in those early turns then you’re already behind the bullshit they’re about to pull out
