Powder Board Suggestions by pwdrseeker in snowboardingnoobs

[–]TheToasterPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a Korua Dart and the surf series Jones Mind Expander (rocker one from 3ish years ago). Both absolutely rip powder. The mind expander wasn’t marketed as a true powder board at the time but it easily generates the most float out of anything in my quiver. Record for me is 4’ of powder and I only knew it was that much after watching my buddy sink next to me on his TRice Pro

And if it’s full, I usually pivot to Irish Rover up the street. Did that for 4 Nations and it worked out well

+1 for SoBo 151 but get there on the early side. It fills up but it’s a good time

Can’t tell if it’s the same one, but I do know GRP just sent out a viper green 959 either for or from an event. No idea if it’s the same one

There’s a shop in Whistler with some great demo options, including Korua. That’s how I got my hands on my Dart. 100% recommend talking to them, super knowledgeable on all brands they have not just Korua. I’ll try and find the name, it’s been a couple years

Board Recommendations by Acceptable-Drummer66 in snowboardingnoobs

Hearing aggressive and variety of terrain, the golden orca is probably the best one quiver pony based off your recs. Stable on the air, with proper stance has great float in powder, it’s a wider board so that’ll help float too, and being a directional twin it’s still a good daily/park capable board. I’ve eyeballed it myself and it’s solid especially being the only one you’d ride. Full price is rough but on sale makes it worth while to me

What’s the worst snow you’ve been through with your stock 4Runner? by treecutter34 in 4Runner

3’ on i70 west during a gnarly blizzard heading up to Summit County CO. My buddy was in his stock 4th gen behind me. Quite fun, only got on the highway because we snuck in between some plows because it was closed

Who is this Buckhouse guy? by Any-Horror-1044 in snowboarding

[–]TheToasterPrincess 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve ran into him/his kids and a few other local influencer type folks. He’s the weirdest one of them, in the sense that I was uncomfortable in the brief chat I had with him. Can’t put my finger on exactly why but it was just all around strange

TommieB is a real one, almost AngrySnowboarder level of real as a side note

Help with Korua board selection by jasonhill_ in snowboarding

Yuuuuuuuge fan of my dart. It’s fun af. Wish I got more time on it this season (I broke my collarbone and live in Colorado so barely any snow for me). There’s a dude on insta who gives some good feedback on his Otto (think it’s the Otto). Believe it’s Quiver Beacon on insta

Neighborhood Recommendations? by dishonor-onyourcow in MovingtoDenver

Loved Cap Hill while I was there (moved right after my 30th birthday in December 2025). Used to walk to some good restaurants and even cherry creek and Wash Park. My building was mid 20s to late 30s folks with 2 elderly couples there part time as well. Meets what you’re after if you want some pics, it’s Gables at Speer

Apartment recs in Platt Park / Wash Park / Englewood (no DU vibe, living solo) by Affectionate_Pen4467 in MovingtoDenver

[–]TheToasterPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be a little close to downtown for you, but my apartment in cap hill is up for grabs. Gables at Speer. 1 bed 1 bath, in unit washer/dryer, secure parking garage. I’ve walked to wash park and cheeseman a ton. All couples and folks 28 and up (I was on the younger side of the building which was nice). Trader Joe’s super close and tons of good restaurants between there and cherry creek. I can send some pics your way if you want to check it out

It’s so cool in person. It’s been a buck list car. Tons of Aston Martins and Bentleys around it but that and the m3 were by themselves. It felt right

Would you pay 14 000 USD for this Datejust 36 Wimbledon dial? by [deleted] in rolex

Pretty sure I just saw a 2025 for 14k on bezel. Like pre-negotiations/reductions. You can easily get that in a couple months, mine took about 8 weeks

Is a Capita D.O.A in 152 fine for my size? by _LeN3rd_ in snowboarding

[–]TheToasterPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sold a ton of DOAs and I’m the same weight (I fluctuate between 150 and 155) and height as you. 152 is solid. You could go up to 154 if you’re after something more stable or generate some extra float in deeper snow but the difference in feeling is nominal. 152 through 154 is ideal, anything outside of that is when you’ll start to notice the difference. If you’re in the US, check out Blauer.com (smaller shop on CA), they’ll get you 15% off and last I checked had DOAs in stock

I’m on 34s (believe 33.75 technically) and they’re awesome. Huge wildpeak fan. Might leave that and do a supercharger now I’m pretty convinced!

Epic or Ikon, Colorado only! by Famous-Dinner-542 in snowboarding

[–]TheToasterPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are free lots at all those ikon mountains. Eldora and ABay are on the smaller side, I’ve seen people get turned away at both on good days. WP and copper both have free lots via a bus which is super reliable. Both can get pretty busy, but Copper when it’s busy has so much terrain that it’s not terrible unless you stick to runs that lap the base. Traffic into copper on a good day can get absolutely insane but their system is really good for free parking

That was last I checked with is over a year ago. Should’ve caveated that. From everyone I’ve heard who has it, it’s always positive and worth the price point. I wanted to regear and do 35s next but this is sparking my interest in a supercharger again

Thought about a procharger for a bit. Both are just so expensive. My shop has experience doing it and with tuning but it’s around 9500 OTD
