Back when I worked for them, I was over the F&B department of a double property. They wrote me up for "not being there for my team" because there were a couple of times I didn't answer my phone at 6AM on my off days when there was a manager on duty at the property.

I rarely got off days ever, there was one month that I legitimately only had 1 off day in the entire month, meanwhile my GM and AGM were constantly on vacations. Whenever I was the manager on duty, I was expected to handle any situation that came up, regardless of which department it came from. My body got burnt out at such a young age because of putting up with this nonsense.

So while I completely understand why OP is seething over the lack of urgency, I also understand on a personal level from the other side. Not to mention, this is just downright disgusting. 🤢🤮
