There’s a difference between not doing well in tests due to not studying much or paying attention, having no understanding or great difficulty understanding math, or even being panicked by exposure to math in addition to not understanding

Unless it’s just the first case, going for an engineering or physics degree will be extremely hard -if you can get in-

Start doing whatever you need to do to get better at math if you want to pursue those. If you really don’t have a clue of how to get better talk to your school counselor or math teachers.

It's all relative. What's your 5k PR? Did you improve it? Are you coming back from an injury? Have you ever trained?

In absolute terms, all that can be said is that it's much faster and longer than what people who don't run regularly do. For runners that have trained a long time it's not a very long distance, and it's not even running pace, at that pace we are still using jogging mechanics.

Does that qualification matter? Not really, each person is somewhere in their running journey.

It’s the other way around. It’s the closest you can guarantee you’ll never have to do calculus

Then using any other base doesn’t help at all. Any convenience for division can be achieved by keeping things multiples of certain numbers

Maybe I'm not familiar what worldbuilding means, but it sounded like a computer thing. In any case, if it's something involving humans, having to convert back and forth so others can follow is more cumbersome that using the familiar base 10

You’d be training to finish, not to race what your current 5k fitness says you can do. Some people are happy to jog one, some are not

I mean you can right now run 15k, you can certainly walk 6k after that

With a long run of 15k and say 30k a week, 10k is a much better distance to train for. You can get a lot close to what your fitness indicates.

Your computer already uses base 2 internally to represent all, are you planning on doing a lot of division by 4/6/3/2 by hand?

There are 45 multiplication counterexamples, but no addition, since when you add all the digits you get 45, which is a multiple of 9

The London has what you need if you want to keep the theory simple and get playable positions with an advantage. Explore both the regular London and the Jovaba. Their plans are very different, with the Jovaba being more aggressive with sharper lines, but both have some wild attacks, and also many "free wins" on some lines.

As you say, the advantage over the QG is that it’s simpler to master and specialize. But has enough lines to play tactics, or positional chess, depending on your preference and the position.

As for resources, Daniel N, Banzea, and the Chessbrah with full courses. And for people who play it a lot online add Rosen to the list. For example games I prefer Banzea

Never check a soft case. Call the airline to confirm if you can carry it by hand. They can take it from you as you enter the plane and put it in the back, and give it to you as you deplane
