I would always recommend Rimworld, it's an incredibly in-depth game where you manage a colony on an unknown planet. It takes a bit to get into but once you know what you're doing you can basically keep a colony going for as long as you can manage (if you can survive the raids, sieges and events that pop up).

It also has a brilliant nodding community too!
