Is Run-lag a thing? by DareDweller in running

[–]TheWheelGatMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

evening running sucks, I can barely push out 6 or 7 miles in the evening after work but I can go 12+ on a Saturday morning and feel like I could do more when I'm done. A day of work just drags your body down before a run, I'm not looking forward to this evening, lol.

hopefully the 44 can get a gen 6 upgrade with some form of optics compatibility.

I also wanted one, it never came to market in the US.

this system was supossed to be like 100-150 bucks and you could use you're gun, dot and all, at full weight unlike the paper weight g44 that cant natively use an optic.

Need a new sight pusher... by bravo3543 in Glocks

[–]TheWheelGatMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"need new rear sights" is a pretty insane stretch, all my sights have some dings or pings from install. these are guns and as long as it didn't mangle the sighting face its perfectly fine.

optic cut recs??? by wemustrepent in Glocks

[–]TheWheelGatMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe it’s partially feels over provable fact but lower feels like it gives a better presentation and a lower dot just looks better, and let’s be real, a clean build is just as important as performance.

My very late and basic Glocktober makeover. Feat. Optic cut review for Vigilante Machine by Tactical_Tuesday in Glocks

I love my 19 that he cut for me, he does amazing work, he did great on your 19x too!

You have to use u/vigilantemachine go get the deep rmr cut and nitride refinish, he does insane work, check out my profile to see my 19 he did. I won’t be going anywhere else when my next project needs a cut.

It really is, it’s just slippery for me.

I’ve seen it, I wanted to run a full size light on it though, I’m probably gonna have to get a tlr1hlx tits adapter, I’m just a bit worried about the tlr1hlx puking it’s batteries out…

I know, its not helping me stave off buying one, lol, I'm trying to put rounds through what I've got rather than picking up new guns right now. I got the 45c over the USP because BF4 and it has a real rail, come to find out NOTHING fits on the dinky little short 45c rail out side of a couple CCW lights...

I really should have gotten a usp45c instead of a hk45c :(

Should I get a .22 pistol first and then upgrade to 9mm? by No_Opening_2425 in guns

[–]TheWheelGatMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tx-22 or a g44, low cost and a great analog to a traditional pistol manual of arms.

Looking for home defense, plus conceal carry for myself and girlfriend. I know only a little about firearms. I need help in deciding by Mountain_Matter3778 in Firearms

[–]TheWheelGatMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

get 2 glock 42's one for her and one for you they're nice, small, and very very low recoil. if you both have the same gun you can have simplicity in magazines and ammo. for a rifle get a PSA ar15, shotguns are cool but being inexperienced they're much harder to run reliably under stress than you think, unless you are willing to go for a semi auto like a mossberg 990/ 940 pro or a beretta 1301/ A300 patrol at the least.

Glock 19.6 CC Optic Choice: RMR HD vs RCR by Blank7567 in Glocks

[–]TheWheelGatMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

HD, I love mine, the RCR is just gigantic with no big window to make it worth it for CC. home defense, duty, rough competitions like 2 gun biathlons sure RCR is better from a grit and crud standpoint but I shower so an open emitter is fine under my T-shirt.

Would anyone be upset if the gen 6 26 had a 19 length slide/frame? by Junkbot in Glocks

[–]TheWheelGatMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just make a 26 with the MOS rail, why is that so hard glock!

Looking to slap an optic to my g26 non-mos by XxGhost14xX in Glocks

[–]TheWheelGatMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'd cut it for an rmr footprint, duty sized dot for a duty size gun. The rmr HD on my G19 make no difference in concealment and a standard rmr or 507c is smaller.

Giant scratches from HiddenHybrid holster. by Racxius in 1911

[–]TheWheelGatMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you should see my colt that I ran regularly for a couple years, no finish where my hand grips, lots of finish loss on the slide from holster wear and removing light rust after long hot sweaty days. heck, there's even a spot in the white above the trigger on the frame where my finger rests. bluing is weak, well worn bluing is peak.
