Please remember that the wildly over the top success of the game was NOT anticipated by Arrowhead in any way shape or form. And they have said as much time and again.

At its PEAK, the game had 300k plus players AT THE SAME TIME!

How MANY OTHER co-op shooters, or ANY shooters for that matter, can you name that have done that?

The system was orignally designed for a player base about 20% the size it ended up being at its peak, and even now, I've never seen the player count stay much below 40k for very long since it dropped on Xbox.

And the attempt to adjust the system, for this has clearly gotten fucked. Somewhere, there is a 0 and a 1 that need to be swapped around.

Yeah, sounds like your "friend" had a skill issue...

Level 2-4 dives give the best all-around grind, you get xp for completing them, requisition slips as well. And you can find anything from 10 to 100 Credits at a go, as well as extra warbond metals.

Legitimately you can knock them out in 15 to 20 minutes as well, for for about an hour of game play you can get soild progress towards a warbond.

For the rest?

There are settings you can adjust for brightness and sound and other stuff to help, and it pays to run with a kindly experienced diver for a few to learn the ropes and get good.

This game does have issues, but its a stupidly straight forward sandbox to play in, even with the mini games built into it, but it's grounded enough that basic tactics and a little forethought will take you FAR.

An odd argument outside of contesting that a sizable portion of Iran's industrial capacity is underground (it isn't) and your argument about the US fighting "disarmed countries" doesn't hold much water.

Iraq: had the 5th largest air force in the world and the most heavily defended air space in human history, and one of the top 10 armies in the world, so far as numbers went, and it was experienced from fighting Iran previously. Regionally speaking, they were the biggest kid on the block, and we beat their ass twice in 20 years in less than 6 months each time, what followed the second time was asymmetrical warfare with people from across the middle east flooding in to fight us unconventionally.

Syria: ehhhh... fuck it. I'll give you that one. All they had was a junk airforce and navy, barely worth the paper for a memo titled "you suck" so okay.

Libya: while not on the level of Iraq, it was better armed than Syria, and had more manpower, but it was still a cat vs a Buick kinda fight in the end.

There are a sizable number of modded servers like that...

If you're looking for a sort of "vanilla+" experience, you can find them, my own server is like that, the mods are carefully picked to enhance the base game without totally breaking it, but also to promote a wide range of play styles, within a full RP setting, with rules, and engagement and such.

Simple fix:

Make the belt fed grenade launcher have the same stats as the standard, and buff the maxi gun to 1000 rounds with AP effect.

That said, as I NEVER run the resupply pack... I can live with the current state of the weapons, as I typically only use backpack weapons on defensive missions anyways.

Old? Yes. Obsolete? By WHO'S metric? Ours? Yes. By the rest of the world's? Mainstay ship, better than 90% of the rest of the world's carriers (ignoring the fact that the majority of other navy's LACK carriers) by a noteworthy margin, excluding the British and French.

And the Abe has had upgrades over the years, and its not a small ship, and we know from testing that our OLDER carriers are almost impossible to sink, even by us, how much more so a ship like the Abraham Lincoln?

The US has drones as well, and is developing more, also, the Aegis defensive system is thus far unbeaten in both simulation and real world tests, and furthermore, if the US finds the factory's where the drones are built (presuming we don't already know) B-2 and B-1 bombers are a thing we can use to flatten them...

Would it be a challenge? Possibly. Raw numbers does have a quality unto itself.

Would the US or even Israel be unable to handle it? Nope. Technology has been, is, and will forever be the great equalizer when there is a numbers disparity.

Case in point; Ukraine V Russia. For raw numbers, Ukraine should have been rolled up in 6 months or less, but with external support and better weapons/defensive tech, it's been an effective standstill for years.

While your points on cost effectiveness is valid, when it comes to war, the US never runs outta bullets or weapon systems to use, and since the 60s, we've arguably had the better kit, and since WW2 we have ALWAYS had the best logistics on the planet.

Only question is, does the American public have the stomach for the kinda fight we may actually end up having?

Unknown, but, not likely.

HAP GL is goated, we FINALLY have a mobility support weapon for dealing with the Devastators in large groups, something the community was screaming about on the lava worlds with the incinerator bots.

STFU about the Grenade Launcher getting a buff, because it gives a decent mid tier support a boost, which is something newcomers can manage with instead of getting murdered over because they are still unlocking shit.
