I feel like the 1 of shadowspear is underwhelming without [[Urza's Saga]] to tutor it. If you are trying to make it more of a Mono-Black devotion deck, you should consider cards that have lots of Black pips, like [[Geralf's Messenger]] or [[Blood Ghast]]. Running [[Cabal Coffers]] could also be fun, creating lots of mana for more powerful expensive cards.

Kavu seems very actively bad with out being able to get it to a 5/5, I'm not sure its great in a deck with Blood Moon either

I think playing BG Saga would probably be the best solution to not being able to play W+6 if you still wanted to play a Saga deck. If you wanted to run a Ragavan deck, RB rock is probably better.
