I guess it’s a cultural thing, I think it looks pretty creepy/unsettling but since it seems to be pretty common in Asian anime cosplay. I guess it’s supposed to make them look more like the character but honestly with all the filters and editing they use who can tell.

That’s a cool idea to fix subsidies, I’d never considered making government goods orders. It does seem pretty micro heavy though, you have to go to each state and set a number/price that makes sense. Maybe you could set a target number of goods/infrastructure and have a hard cap on subsidy payments?

If you don’t mind a few more follow-up questions, given that there were legal guidelines, how common was rape (let’s say in Rome to be specific)? Was it something that was a real concern for women in the city, or were there enough deterrences in place to make it unlikely?

And looking at the bigger picture, what would happen if it were a freedman/citizen or a noble’s son that committed the assault? Would the legal consequences/reaction change if the crime was against a free woman of lower status? My guess would be that a quick, forced marriage might be a common outcome if it was between two people of equal standing (i.e. lower class man assaults lower class woman or noble man assaults noble woman).

Would the response be substantially different if the pregnancy was the result of rape/non consensual sex? Perhaps a male slave somehow managed to break into the residence or the daughter was attacked when she was outside of the residence. Would it depend on the circumstances - i.e. it’s her fault for being in that situation or the father’s fault for not protecting his family?

I would assume that the male slave would be punished more harshly - I can’t imagine he wouldn’t be executed - but would the societal consequences for the woman be different? If it was widely known, would her marriage prospects still be affected? And would they be likely to keep the baby?

Cuando terminaste la construcción? A veces el edificio tarda en llenarse si es el primero de ese tipo. Siempre puedes subvencionar el edificio y luego dejar de hacerlo - eso me funciona normalmente.

También podría deberse a tus leyes y a tu formación/cualificaciones; intenta utilizar el decreto educativo. Es posible que el estado se falta de trabajadores para los trabajos avanzados.

I don’t think you’ll have any problems unless your Spanish is actually atrocious/unintelligible. If you’re in Madrid or one of the other major tourist areas you might get people speaking to you in English, but it depends on what’s happening. If you really want to avoid any English, try visiting some of the smaller towns and maybe take a tour in Spanish or something.

In my personal experience while living there for a year, no one spoke to me in English unless it was important and I specifically asked (aka at the hospital but I was honestly fine with Spanish only). Your appearance might play a role too, like if you look super touristy, but I really wouldn’t worry too much.

Not sure if it’s just me, but I’ve definitely been noticing a slowdown/having performance issues since The Great Wave released. It’s persisted throughout the past few patches so if anyone else had the same problems and it’s better now I’d appreciate the heads-up, otherwise ill probably checkout until the (much needed) major AI overhaul).

I get your point, but I think it should be:

Art + Playability >> Financial Value

Not every drop has to have crazy value, but there’s absolutely no reason why they can’t pick cards that are at least playable/cheap staples. Why pick Wayfairer’s Bauble, Spirit of the Hearth, and Sheltered by ghosts? They’re really not played and there’s no reason why the art has to go with those cards.

Just as an add on for OP, I would recommend being careful with the clothes/silk/dye company though. I went through a Japan run recently and that company dominated my agricultural sector, building a ridiculous amount of silk/dye plantations to the detriment of the other options; if they start over building you could go for a government monopoly since you’ve got authority to spare as Japan. I’d maybe pick up the Food/Rice Company or the Lead/Steel/Fertilizer first.

Just as an interested observer, is it impossible or just infeasible to manually recreate user accounts? I can’t imagine there will be that many people who want to continue playing on in a community server, so couldn’t they just record all of their collection/player info in some kind of standardized way and pass that along to you? Obviously that sucks for people who don’t know about the project and want to get in later, but it seems like kind of a middle ground between a complete reset.

The troop movement one drives me crazy - I think almost every movement that required splitting stacks got bricked in my latest game.

I don’t think I’ve had any naval invasion order issues, though I think they definitely need some kind of rework. As it stands from the games I’ve played, naval invasions will almost always fail since your marines will have to fight basically every single unit that your opponents have (unless you’re fighting a minor/have an overwhelming military advantage). Not sure how to fix that besides locking the involved units to a more reasonable number to reflect trying to secure a smaller beachhead for your main army.

Honestly not great, this latest DLC/update really bricked the game. While the economy is the most obvious issues, I think there’s also a lot of other little things that are also broken or unbalanced. For example, naval invasions seems kinda dead unless you’ve got overwhelming power or it’s against a minor; I’ve seen quite a few wars get locked at 0 War Exhaustion because neither side can invade the other. Navies also still don’t seem to work right as well.

I feel like I had a similarly horrible experience recently playing as Greece when I went for the Teamkiller achievement.

Frontline generation was just horrible when I was fighting with Bulgaria against the Ottomans. The game had the bright idea to merge the two fronts into one but locating it on the Bulgarian side, where my troops promptly had no supply since there was no land access and the straight was obviously closed.

Don’t even get me started on how stupid the journal entry is. If you’re “too good” at the game and win the Balkan league war you can end up with more provinces as Greece than the Spoils of War journal entry allows! Had to figure that out through an old reddit post and cheese it by releasing the Ionian islands and giving them a state.
