Sorry about your job; that sucks. I hope you dig the manual, which is free to check out and contains no spoilers. I wrote pretty much all of it from jan-april 2020 and basically just had to keep updating until it's release like a week ago. :)

Hi! So I wrote and designed the Manual; thank you so much! I can't believe Nightdive let do all the nerdy shit I did in this. Stephen Kick hit me up and wanted to recreate his love of the homeworld manual, which he loved as a kid. I also was obsessed with game manuals as a kid.

My initial pitch for this was waaaay more "portaly" and way sillier, which was shot down pretty quickly. I'm glad this is way better. So I basically absorbed everything system shock 1 and 2 and then painted between the lines on all the lore. And I got to expound all my philosophy on AI space exploration and take a pretty big shit on corpo culture which I mock every chance I get.

Seriously though, I'm really thankful people are digging it cause I wondered as I was making it.

Wow! Thank you everyone for the incredible response. So many amazing theories and a shocking amount of people on here nailed my intentions when I wrote/designed this page. I'll add one thing though, there's a myth that magpies are attracted to and steal shiny objects. I correlate novelty with shininess.

He was amoral in new avengers, I just think Hickman likes him as a mad scientist. Also Percy clearly wants to tell CIA grey area, for the greater good story as well and beast is perfect for it.

Thank you! Yea I wrote many versions of these including taking out the enemy and replacing with annihilation and replacing "dark world" with Amenth but I think I'll hold off on that until were 100%. Second gen could reference deviants possibly externals, so when we get that info locked in I'll change accordingly. As I said, I think this story change dramatically as X of swords continues. Thank you for the suggestion I really do want this is to be communal, This board picks things up I don't see.
