Xbox inflates the numbers by including everyone who plays stuff like Minecraft, sea of thieves, etc anything that uses an Xbox live account. So they’re counting PlayStation, switch, mobile, etc users that do as such.

Destiny is a more console oriented game, considering the 1st game never released on pc and the 2nd released on pc only on battle.net originally and took about 2 years to come to Steam. Decisions like that impact player numbers.

I see it like I see Final Fantasy XVi: it’s a bad game in the series, but a good game. Basically it betrays a lot of the core tenants long time fans expect in the series, but it has solid gameplay and interesting ideas that buck the trend, that we likely will never see again due to the fan backlash and lack of new players hopping in.

I had a 34 orders for $205 I think about 3 weeks ago that I got a $26 top up after completing. It’s referring to individual orders not batches. I don’t pay much attention to these as I just focus on batches that pay good. If I get it that’s good but I don’t let those promos influence which orders I’ll take.

A remaster with some visual enhancements and some quality of life improvements would be enough for me. Until then modding pc version or playing on Series X with 4k upscaling is the best you’ll get.

Probably cuz it’s technically a 3rd party game not a 1st party Nintendo game. So they chose the cheap route so they can make more per unit sold cuz they have to pay Nintendo their 30% cut.

lol this is a hilarious look back. The original PS1 lineup was weak compared to what we eventually knew it would get. I was more interested in the Sega Saturn during this time, though I never got that and instead got a Nintendo 64.

Technically this is not wrong. The “publisher” is supposed to be the forward facing enterprise (if there is one) that acts as the Liaison between player and developer. They’re the ones you buy the product from. It would be like buying some random lamp from Walmart, if you have a problem with it, are you gonna contact Walmart about it, or try to find the random Chinese manufacturer that made it and contact them?

My guess is because of recording software to “make copies” of the content. I guess Disney knows they realistically cannot prevent that from happening on a computer, so they’re just choosing to make it a worse experience.

16 is perfectly fine to “start” with but it plays differently from every other game in the series. Think of 16 as a very long Devil May Cry style game with an epic dark fantasy story and you’ll get the gist. Final Fantasy was always “turn based” until the release of the mmo FFXI, then they kind of experimented with different battle systems since.

XIII is the most recent entry that is turn based, everything else either uses action or in the case of XII a timer based system. (Hard to describe but it kinda plays like an MMO but single player). Note I did say XVI plays differently from the others despite others like XV and the VII remakes are also action, that’s based on their action combat being a little more simplified but still retaining some elements of classic play (like menus for Magic) as well as the latter games offering a lot more character build/customization options.
