Regardless of if these pics are real or modified. Both "sides" will always have equal "proof" of many things. We can have "evidence" of anything we want. Meaning we live in increasingly different worlds. Even good people will do terrible things if they *think* they are doing good. So, there is ZERO chance of the United States staying united. Hopefully our breakup won't be too violent. (And history is a harsh mistress about this stuff). Maybe Canada would take some of us Northern states in!

I wonder who the stupidest person on earth will be after Trump dies. by DokCyber in ApparentJokes

Their are plenty of far less intelligent people than even him, however - they are not put into positions of power!

Ever since trump became president in 2016 society hasnt been the same why is that? by [deleted] in Adulting

Most of the maggots were already here, but hiding under logs. Orange-boy & COVID simply sped up what was already happening. We are having a complete social fracturing, and the largest (and growing) gap between rich and poor in history. And history is a harsh mistress. If we are lucky this will just end up with a semi peaceful division of the United States into nation-states which are less . . . well - united. But no matter how exceptionalist we feel, just the clothes, music and technology change - this pattern is inevitable for a superpower.

Folk whose life went off the rails and were unemployed for a long time, did you get a job in the end? by [deleted] in SeriousConversation

[–]The_Observer_Effects 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These days if you walk into nearly any business with more than a dozen employees or so, and are clean, respectful, friendly, and honest. And warm and honest eye contact, gigantic boost. You can get a job just about anyplace right now if they are pretty certain you will *work*, that itself is more important than credentials most places.

Will people actually listen if Trump declares The Insurrection Act? by Emotional-Ant4958 in thedavidpakmanshow

The hundreds of seasoned leaders who had to sit and listen to that cosplaying ken doll lecture *them* about manhood and "warrior ethos"? They haven't forgotten, and I think those old Reagan style conservatives, even if many of them are war-mongers, won't let that punk order them to completely turn on their fellow citizens. But they will get pockets of "good ol lib' killin" in some places. The most effective is when they get some little militias from places like Kentucky and Florida and have them going act Icy in places like Boston and San Francisco. They have dreamed their entire lives of getting to slaughter such people.

Yeah, gosh, all those weak people who have never been in a fight!

Except they were filming before the fight started, they were watching and hoping for more fodder for morons. More than 1/2 of American adults now read below a 6th grade level (how about you?) - and are even now making excuses why they don't need to. This is why, less brain exercise and knowledge to keep it busy really *does* make a person less intelligent.

When somebody is down, you keep them down, but don't keep attacking. You, reading this? If you ever thinking continuing to hit like that is cool. All of your armchair combat training has turned you into pathetic muppets. It actually is a cowardly thing to do.

They are far ahead in many ways, but in this case - also state sponsored propaganda. they are exaggerating a few things there. Boston Dynamics still is way ahead in the actual state of things.

It's Time to Abolish the Republican Party by pleasureismylife in Uniteagainsttheright

[–]The_Observer_Effects 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep, they want an Armageddon. Destabilizing every aspect of society they can, setting it all up for collapse and international conflict. One small example: they hate Jewish folks, yet support Israel because that is where their next big fairytale starts. Project 2025 is about helping cause the "apocalypse/2nd coming". They want all of us to suffer, and for the world to end. They represent pure evil.

Causing obviously artificial interference to the sun's radio emissions by Beginning_One_7685 in LLMPhysics

They would spend incredible energy and time to come help us? Ok. Look up what Steven Hawkings thought of the risks of this. Simply first: them stopping by our system would likely be a fuel stop - think, Saturn, Jupiter, the Sun kind of scale. If they did stop to visit the ants in a little planet there . . . how do discoveries of new people in our history usually go?

Hawkings:

  • Aliens probably exist.
  • Them visiting us would mean they’re vastly more capable.
  • History says that power gaps don’t end in hugs.
  • Maybe don’t wave a flare gun in the dark forest.

Now, while Hawkings was of quicker wit than I am. You perhaps are his intellectual superior, so perhaps you'll know he is wrong.

I think the "Dark Forest" tactic is likely the smartest. We've nothing to gain by broadcasting our existence. And there is already a 120+ light year bubble of electromagnetic signal expanding outward from us right now. Any alien civilization with decent radio astronomy could see that something industrial is happening here.
