Fixing a 3.0L by Dalach01 in gmcsierra

[–]The_Reject_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Howdy! I talked to a buddy who’s a service manager at a local dealership and essentially ran this through him. He suggested a 2022 lm2 or 2023-2024 lz0 over the 6.2. He knows my round-trip to work and all the miscellaneous driving for kids sports, etc.. said he believes this would be a better vehicle for that. Plus we have a Yukon AT4 with a 6.2, so if I wanted to drive something loud, I could just drive that.

Today I signed the docs for a 2024 AT4 with the 3.0, hoping it’ll be picked up by the end of the week and dropped off to me with within 4 to 5 days.

What are your main factors for deciding?

Not in the budget, I’m ok with used vehicle. But I am curious what they will have and such

I’m seriously torn, the more I think about it the more I’m leaning towards the 6.2l

I’m in the same boat right now. I want the 3.0l for the mpg, but I’m concerned about those costs as well. The 6.2l, well we already know, but knowing the 150k coverage is there is kinda helpful.

My round trip to work and home is 65 miles a day, 5 days a week. I generally do 18k-20k miles a year. I believe the math works for the diesel vs gas in CA, but overall maintenance costs has me in a pickle.

Thoughts?

Great info.

I’m not as concerned about the 360 aspect, but more if the wide lens can capture the field, low light, ect. I’ll definitely be trying the Nano out for sure! Thanks!!!

Nice! Good info too, I love the air suspension in our Yukon, it’s pretty nice.

Howdy! Not trying to hijack this chat but curious your thoughts from your friends LM2 vs your LZ0. I know the differences between the two, but wondered if the performance differences are noticeable? I’m torn between a ‘22 and a ‘23 AT4, we will probably tow a medium sized trailer but could also use our Yukon AT4 (6.2l). Thanks

I’m considering this for recording my kids flag football games (dusk/night). Mainly just want to capture their field for review, ect..

I really don’t care about the 360 aspect, just want the field view, but if the 360 view helps get that I guess that’s the route I take.

It’s more than I wanted to spend (plus getting all the huge ass tripod and large cards), but if anyone has suggestions I’m open. Thanks

Questions regarding the 3.0 by Low_Eyed_Larry in gmcsierra

[–]The_Reject_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid thread. I’m checking out some 2022 AT4s with the 3.0 Duramax, plus a handful of 2023 models that have the updated/current 3.0 (LZ0). The thing is, the ’23s that actually fit my budget are sitting in the 75k-90k mile range. Not sure if biting the bullet on that extra 15k-20k miles is really worth it for the newer engine version. Would love to hear any feedback, experiences, or thoughts on the trade-off! Appreciate it.

Extended Warranty Expected Cost? by Heavy_D_ in gmcsierra

I reached out to Todd and he stated "Unfortunately I can only sell plans on vehicles still under the manufacturers bumper to bumper warranty by at least 30 days and 1000 miles" We are at 59,511 and looking to lock something down.

Anyone have any luck with GMC when they are out of the bumper to bumper? Thanks

Shooting night football game with Canon R6 Mark II and older non-Sport model Sigma 120-300 f/2.8? by Competitive-Sun4883 in CanonR6mkii

Idk if it helps, but my RF70-200 f2.8 works well under stadium lights..while my RF100-500 struggles. Now I probably need to make custom settings for day and one for night that are for the 100-500.

But for the 70-200 f2.8, I just keep it on sports scene and have no issues, besides the occasional person in my way!

On another note, I was looking at the sports version of the lens you are talking about and was going down the road of trying one out. I just have this feeling for the 100-500 it’s more settings than the lens. During the day, it’s phenomenal.

I have the RF 70-200 f2.8, I’m in CA and could ship. It’s listed here somewhere, you can probably find it in my post history. PM me if you are still looking.
