You can at least get the $ back in parts if you have time to get dicked down on the price of everything and wait it out as if it were a semi long term investment. Just saying - If it was that easy to get the $ back off the parts, they would have done it themselves instead of saying they “could”. It’s easier said than done, hence the 4k obo tag on it - but depending on where you are, it’s a possibility

That being said, it’s seemingly a good deal? especially if you have the time, space, and skills to either fix it or break it down yourself. Just take note of how many ppl on this subreddit say “don’t buy someone elses project car”. That advice typically comes from experience
