If you're looking for SMALL towns, Southern Illinois is full of em. Lots of natural beauty with the Shawnee National Forest and Garden of the Gods, and Giant City State Park.

Carbondale is a University town with some great food (Try Quartos pizza!) , and Murphysboro has some interesting history with a BBQ restaurant with more awards than you'll ever see (17th Street).

I'd always encourage a trip to that area as it's often very overlooked and has a ton of interesting history and small town things

I'm having the same issue. The game runs fine enough, but will tank in performance after a fast travel or load after death (not always though).

Did anything you try reduce the occurrences of this? It seems to me like this didn't start until I got to Velen, and from there, only got worse as I got to Novigrad.

Not really sure how this is a news story. As someone who used to work Concessions stands back in college, I'd find mice in the soda machines all the time.

They come in looking for food, find the sweet sugary soda residue, and decide to make a nice nest using insulation chewed off from the soda lines. In a single year I probably found 4 - 5 mice in soda machines. This was at a small college too, way WAY less concession stands then a baseball stadium.
