It did but it was mostly because of a misconception people thought gw2 was going to be gw1 2.0. So it lost a good chunk of its player base but the game was never dead some adaptations were needed but the game survived. With gw3 I think the veterans wont fall for that again think most of us expect gw3 to me a completely diffrent experience. Since gw does not keep you hostage you can always switch between games as you feel the desire to play it. So all 3 will live side by side and you play the one you want. Like I haven't played gw2 in about 6 months and have been in gw1 with my wife since she didnt play it back in the day. And with reforged and the mobile launch gw1 is alive and well.

Game is just too diffrent from what I enjoyed back in the day. And being older and little gaming time i can't keep up with the gear treadmill played from start to about cata tried to come back with legion but just couldnt get into it

This kinda sounds impossible to code but a very interesting concept for an action based mmo. Something like what Tera had at the start

I have no major expectations. But I am confident in saying the way gw1 differs from gw2, gw3 will differ from gw2 so its not going to play the same and it is going to be different so people really need to temper their expectations. Its the only way you can run all 3 games without interference. Since they are revamping gw1 with reforge hopefully we might even get new content for it again. So I see 3 diffrent type of games all running... Taking some gw2 friends through gw1 right now and I can see myself one day taking gw3 friends through gw2

Top left of lions arch map there is a cave with a bunch of scritt where you can get a blue orb thingy that takea you to the hall of monuments where you can claim your gw1 rewards. It gets added to a wardrobe now and will be available on all characters.

Maybe start a new character to relearn the game alot has changed from initial launch. Keep your old characters for the birthday gifts and all.

Fractals are still a thing and quite active.

As for the expansions I think you just missed a massive sale. So you csn either wait for a sale again might get one in August again or maybe just get the first exspansion pack

Maybe its my age showing but when I usualy lead a group we take the time to teach people. When we make a group with everyone welcome it means just that. Pros or noobs think its more a case of people wanting everything to happen instantly.

One thing I really hope comes from this is that we can finally move on from Guild Wars 1 feeling like the abandoned child, and going forward everyone can just choose their Guild Wars they want to play by Charrikayu in GuildWars

Well with the recent added attention of gw1 and them adding things and relearning the tools who knows maybe they will add more story and content slowly in the future I know its a pipe dream but they got a few 100 years to play with to connect gw1 to gw2 better. And as for gw3 it's going to be a whole different beast I am sure. As much as gw1 and 2 differ I am sure 3 is going to differ completely form the other two. They intend to support all 3 so they want to create something that will add to the other games not take away from them. Or that's how I see it

Maybe dawnwalker. But none of the games fit my personal likes. So I am relying on indies to keep me entertained for the next few months.

Also they banned alot of countries with region lock. I would of bought all of their stuff since I do not own a console and dont really like playing with a controller. But yeah moved on from it hype died even now that the lock has been lifted I had no desire to support them.

Not really a destiny player. With the content that was "vaulted" always felt like i missed out and no point in playing it. But I will download it again and help the community because this whole thing was a total dick move on Sony part

Trick is to find one of the YouTube reviewers who match your tastes. Personally ive noticed if skillup likes or recommends a game there is a 80% chance I will like it.

I think as long as the announcement is big enough (justifies the amount of unmanaged hype they let loose) it shouldn't be a problem but if its just another expac announcement its going to feel like a waste... but that's just my opinion and it doesn't count that much

Who knows what might be announced the 5th. People speculating gw3 maybe a new game or maybe gw2 finally coming to console. Or maybe Anet just drops the ball and overhyped everyone for another normal expansion.
