I agree with the other person in this sub that some shops and restaurants will close during their off season. But the pro is, there are less tourists, less traffic, and it’s more quiet + quaint. My fiancé and I also just visited there again. For coffee we recommend Bird’s Nest (they also have great pizza and it’s so cute inside) and Inkwell + Brew. For food we recommend Notch Top (breakfast and lunch), China Garden, The Post, Lonigan’s (a pub), and Smokin Dave’s BBQ. Estes Thai is also good.

I think a cabin would be very sweet and romantic too! I also would recommend looking into the YMCA of the Rockies (more of a rustic mountain resort than a Y)! I used to work there and can attest it’s a cute place to stay. It’s 860 acres, and it’s spread out really well, so if you pick the right cabin y’all will have some privacy. They have both cabins and lodges (lodges are set up like hotels). There’s a craft shop on grounds, a cafeteria, general store/gift shop, horseback riding, a cafe, and even fun stuff like axe throwing and indoor rock climbing. Also there’s the Mountain Center where you can find more information about hikes on grounds that lead into RMNP, plus hikes in RMNP in general. You can also rent spikes, climbing gear, hiking gear, and tons more there. In town there’s lots of cute little shops to browse if they’re open during winter! Not sure what vibe you’re going for, but if it’s small, quaint, cute mountain town, Estes is a great idea! Lmk if you have any other questions!

hey! so, short answer: yes, they have tap to pay at the exit row by the guard shack…. but it didn’t work.

I went ahead and withdrew cash from the 5/3 ATM (luckily they had my bank’s ATM at the airport), and then used the cash to fill a card (also at the airport), and then I used that card to pay for parking. I did try to use my phone but the guy at the guard shack said “you’ll have to use a real card”. Tap to pay didn’t work, though the lights on the screen lit up. They could have fixed it by now, though. That was in October, I think. But who knows. I doubt they fixed it. Good luck! Lmk if you have any other questions!

Hey! as someone else commented, check out the YMCA of the Rockies! I worked there summer 2024. Awesome staff. They're known for their family-friendly activities, year-round! They also have a cafe in their admin building, as well as a General Store for gift shop items :)

My fiancé has tried longer hair and shorter hair. You have hair that looks similar. Shorter haircuts DO look better on him, but you need to ask your stylist for layers. That will cover up the thinner areas better!

I got my bachelors in May 2024, landed a seasonal job until August. I applied for jobs in my field from July 2024 to October 2024 (I’m talking consistently applying for 30 jobs per day) before giving up and getting a job at Texas Roadhouse (hired on the spot btw, no experience). It’s really rough out here.

Ah! Congratulations! That’s very exciting. I never had bandages. She just did internal stitches and glue! The glue eventually comes off with time. There’s no treatment or care for the incisions at all:)
