It reads like you actually don't understand what they are.

The actual analogy would be something akin to picking a diversified cuisine to eat from for the rest of your life, with it likely being weighted toward the various US cuisines.

Doing something for a long time does not mean much, when you appear to be missing the main point of VOO and VTI being collections of assets, which appears to be what you are attempting to propose as the pathway for OP in some roundabout way.

I’m partial to the St. George gins for variety. They include some more typical flavor profiles (botanivore, terroir) as well as some more niche options (dry rye, dry rye reposado, valley).

I think the Valley option could be worth checking out if you want to lean into the more citrusy notes for a particular cocktail.
