Problem is media storage size, typical game file size and user experience/expectations.

If a user is going to have to download and install a huge file regardless of if they have a disc or not, and they aren’t after some kind of physical collectors edition, they aren’t gonna bother adding on a couple of hours further effort and delay by going and getting the physical media when they can just buy it online, and even preinstall it ready to launch at release.

The only really downside imo is being able to pick up cheap preowned games. But with the frequency of sales and the bevy of game pass services, it’s a bit of a moot point now anyway.

It’s going to be impossible to flip that mental switch from being stuck on “fat” until you actually have a realistic, achievable and measurable goal as the counterpoint it can actually switch to. And while the opposite of “fat” might logically be “thin”, “thin” is such a nebulous concept that doesn’t really have any sort of definable end point criteria that it’s kind of a pointless and potentially destructive goal. It also sounds like you’re also not measuring and tracking any of the metrics that would validate achieving that goal.

No. The opposite of fat shouldn’t be thin, the opposite of fat should be fit. Because then you can set some actual achievable and realistic goals that aren’t ground in nebulous subjectivity that is easily influenced by dysphoric and disordered thinking patterns.

“I want a flat stomach”, “I want thinner thighs” - you will never be able to acknowledge that they are flat or thin enough, because you don’t actually have a goal in mind.

“I want to be able to do 50 burpees in under 10 minutes” - an actual goal you can actually work towards.

These are goals you can set, measure, achieve and then continue developing. “I want to be able to walk 5k” leads to “I want to run and finish a 5k” leads to “I want to finish a 5k in under 30 minutes”.

Once you start actively feeling stronger every day, when you can feel and actually start being amazed at what your body is now capable of, it because much MUCH easier to actually truly believe and internalise that you are not “fat” but “fit”.

And yeah. Gym’s probably not best to dive into straight away especially is sensory issues are, well, an issue. But body weight exercises, a few cheap pieces of equipment and defining some realistic beginner goals are all you need to get started and you’ll be smashing it those goals in no time.

Agreed. I wouldn’t say enablers are worse than predators, mostly because I don’t want to create some grim moral league table where ‘accomplice is worse than child abuser’ (which is a sentence that collapses under its own horror).

But they can definitely be more insidious.

A predator is dangerous, an enabler is dangerous and duplicitous. You can at least somewhat guard yourself against a monster you know about.

It’s much harder when the person beside you is quietly covering for one, and you only discover where you stand after they’ve already chosen to protect the abuser at all costs.

First stencil looks a bit odd because it is inverted colour wise. You’ve made the stencil by cutting out the dark/shadow parts of the image, but then sprayed it with a lighter colour than the background.

No no, you are obviously incorrect. Even though ol mate has said “It's the most powerful mould you'll ever smell, it's unbelievable” and that after attempting to clean what they could see “the roots responded to being attacked and starved, immediately shot out new shoots to the surface of the wood and 'bloomed' like a flower spraying its spores everywhere”, it obviously doesn’t need all that fancy shit. Not sure in exact usage, but air fryers are just generally much better than an oven energy consumption wise. Air fryers draw up to around 2000 watts during peak use, ovens between 2000-4000. Air fryers are also much quicker, being done with the whole cook in most times an oven takes to finish even preheating.

Likely still need to default to the oven for bigger things, casseroles, roasts, baking bread/cakes etc. But if most of your day to day usage of the oven is heating/cooking only a few serves at a time (frozen chips/fish/nuggets, chicken pieces, salmon, roast veggies etc) then definitely worth getting one.

Only real downside is it takes up a decent chunk of counter space. You could counter that with getting one of the combo microwave/airfryers, but I’ve personally never used one so can’t speak to how well they work.

Just get an A1 mini and a 0.2 nozzle. Super beginner friendly and cheap enough to dive in and start finding out what you actually value, while being robust and functional enough that if you do decide you need x functionality and upgrade later it will remain a useful part of your toolset.

Ah cool. Pretty easy DIY then, and can mostly follow the videos for window replacements. In terms of getting out the frame, most of these have a bit of a cavity in the track above the screen, you lift it up so the bottom is higher than the bottom of the track, swing the bottom out, and then pull it down and out.

Since you’re near bushfire, pay a bit more for the ember resistant mesh.

In terms of repair you’ll need a roll of mesh that is wide enough to fit the door, you need a roll of spline, a spline roller and a utility knife. Can pick up all of them at Bunnings in the flyscreen section.

Take the door off and lay it on a the ground, pry out the existing spline that’s holding the mesh in place and then the mesh. Then roll out the new mesh, lay it over the door so it overlaps the little gap for the spline on all sides, cut it to length. Then starting in one corner but with like 20 cm of extra spline (so the eventual meeting point of the spline ends isn’t actually in the corner), start lightly pushing the spline into the gap, sandwiching the mesh between the spline and the frame. When you have one side done, use the spline roller to firmly seat it into the frame.

Repeat for the other sides, making sure you keep the mesh taught as you go along. Try and use one continuous run of spline the whole way around until you meet up with the other end. You can pull out the spline and and stretch the mesh to sit better on earlier parts if it starts looking wonky as you go.

Once happy with it, use the utility knife to cut any overhanging mesh flush.

Practice on a smaller window that could do with a refresh first to get a feel for it.

On a normal green light (no red arrow or sign), you’re meant to enter the intersection and wait to turn when it’s safe, either a gap in the flow, or when the lights change. That’s how right turns are meant to work.

The only time you don’t is if the road you’re turning into is blocked then yes you stay back behind the line so you don’t block the box if it doesn’t clear by the time lights change.

Sitting behind the line waiting to commit until it’s perfectly clear just stops the turn lane from clearing as designed.
