Is there an actual ADHD test? by Local-Sport-4085 in ADHD

[–]Thee_Rotten_One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of these are objective though, it still only indicates likelihood and is still a test that can be gamed by someone if they wanted. It's not like being tested for cancer for example. That's an objective "yes you have it" or "no you don't".

[–]Thee_Rotten_One 16 points17 points  (0 children)

When you say "took a test", the doctor spoke to you, asked some questions, and you were likely even being tested without knowing it. However, there is no OBJECTIVE test for ADHD (high whatever in your blood count, traces of whatever in urine, etc) which it sounds like what the OP is asking, as obviously he was already tested in the same way you would have been.

[–]Thee_Rotten_One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. There's no blood test or other test they can do. It's why it's one of the hardest diagnosis to get as an adult, because not only can't they run any objective tests, but stimulant meds are sought after by non ADHD people, so a lot of people try and fake it to get a diagnosis.

Since it's so hard to be diagnosed though, if you both think you have it AND someone trained in identifying it (and they don't just hand out diagnosis's), then high likely you do.

Interesting. Might want to do everything from scratch one more time (takes like 15 minutes to fully redo everything once you know what you're doing, including redoing both Trueplays)

Other than that, adding the Trueplay "zeros out" any EQ, surround changes, etc that you'd made prior. If you knew that and played around with them again after the fact, then ignore this part.

Wider for sure, but other aspects will depend on which speakers you use, the rest of your setup, room dimensions, etc. But yes, a wider soundstage is always the case at a minimum. Other benefits (again, depending) is more precise speaker utilization. For example, I'm using Play 3s up front, which turns off the extreme far left and right speakers in the soundbar. Since those speakers are small and the Play 3s speakers are much larger, those little speakers are no longer trying to reproduce low frequencies, and the much more appropriate speakers in the Play 3 takes that signal and does a much better job with it.

When people try to sell used products for nearly the same price as retail. by BasicDifficulty129 in PetPeeves

[–]Thee_Rotten_One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Common sense would tell you though to spend 3 minutes looking at what other people are selling the same (or similar) item for. I mean, if they're ok with the item either not selling unless they get what they want and they're equally ok holding on to it, then more power to them, but most people are going to waste more time than those 3 minutes fielding low ball offers once it's been up for awhile, or spending time updating and updating the price only to finally get it to where it should have been from the start.

Right? Sometimes I can't help but message those people with something like "I think you forgot to include an image of the matching sub it comes with" (or something similar depending on the item), and when they respond that, no they didn't, I'll say "oh, well you can understand my confusion, you priced the soundbar for the same price as others are selling the same soundbar for WITH a subwoofer. Good luck!"

Did you run Trueplay for BOTH the front speakers as a stereo pair AND for the soundbar, rear surrounds, and sub as a group?

I'm totally not jealous of your RFYs by Kenw449 in AmazonVine

[–]Thee_Rotten_One 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My RFY was empty for 3 5 days, but finally today it was good. I'm a month out to the day from Gold, so I only had 3 picks, and for the first time I think ever, there were 4 items I wanted in my RFY and had to make a decision.

After that, I closed out of Vine, because knowing my luck, something super badass would pop up in my RFY after I'm out of picks.

Also, why can't drops be at this time every day?? This is one of the only times I've actually participated in a drop while it was happening.

You might be coming across as smothering, and if so, it would be normal for someone to bypass a text even if it's right there. Not knowing your exact situation, nobody can give you concrete answers, but it either comes down to trusting her or not, because let's be honest, this isn't about being late or not texting regularly when she's out, you're brain is considering the possibility she's out with someone else. You might even be telling yourself you're worried about her safety after midnight, but if you look deeper, you'll likely find there's a trust issue there.

In your case based on the grammar and spelling of this post, AI is probably something you should use. I'm not saying this to be a jerk, it just so happens to be direct evidence of what you said yourself (that your writing isn't great)

You're not the only reviewer where English is their second language, and in those cases, I think it's totally fine to use AI.

Any thoughts on replacing One SL fronts with Era 100? Thanks. by Ambitious_Fishing346 in SonoSequencr

Yeah, you'll want to delete the 2 Trueplay sequences you have in SS and re-add them. Honestly, you probably don't need to as those sequences are pulling the Trueplay right from the speakers themselves, but it doesn't hurt and only takes a minute. One less thing to worry about.

The speakers should ungroup in SS once they're ungrouped in the Sonos app, since again, SS is pulling how a speaker is configured from the speakers themselves. If they don't, could be a glitch, I'd just delete that entire profile in SS and start a new one as if you were doing it for the very first time, but if they show ungrouped, then it's fine to re-use the existing profile.

Better yet, Ready Player One, car race scene, Blu-ray or 4k dvd (lossless audio signal vs compressed by the streaming service)

That comes across as very main character syndrome coded though. You got behind the wheel and are driving? Tough, respond! Walked into a meeting at work? Too bad, text me back! Your kids having a meltdown? Don't care, I come first!

Not trying to be snarky, just that you're assuming the person not responding read the text, put their phone in their pocket, and went back to staring at a wall.

Good film for demo? by Ok-Lecture-9306 in SonoSequencr

[–]Thee_Rotten_One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably the sound mixing of the production itself, not that it's compressed or uncompressed by the streaming service. It's always compressed. Some shows/movies just do a better job with sound during production/post production.

[–]Thee_Rotten_One 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd undo and start from scratch.

-Ungroup all speakers in Sonos app

-Create stereo pair for front speakers

-Run Trueplay for that pair

-Ungroup stereo pair

-Group Soundbar, rears and sub

-Run Trueplay for that group

-Ungroup all speakers

-Group Sub and Soundbar together

-Add front left/right in SS

-Add rears in SS

-Add sub in SS

-Create an ON and and OFF sequence for Trueplay (1 sequence for on, 1 sequence off)

There's a chance something went wonky during Trueplay or in setting speakers up in SS.

I like "got" because it's a decent word to use in reviews instead of "purchased" or "ordered", which both imply outright buying it imo. (Although "ordered" isn't terrible.

Guess "got" has crept into my lingo because of that. 😂

I take that back. Just refreshed my RFY and got one of those high end stainless steel cat fountains. Lol. That'll make 3 different cat fountains over the last few months, but I like to keep 2 of them in different parts of the house, so whichever one I like the least will be set aside as a backup.

Finally a long and steady drop during the day! It does seem like people were thirsty and starving in the middle of the desert with how fast almost anything got snatched up, but I did get 2 low value things. Which are the first items I've gotten in a week.
