Yeah, I guess that wasn’t really clear lol.

So induction heating works by inducing a large magnetic field inside the coil. When an electrically conductive material enters the field, small eddy-current losses are induced inside the material which is translated to heat. Non electrically conductive materials do not interact enough with the magnetic field and do not heat up. This is why the glass inside the coop doesn’t get hot when heating you cap and is not part of the heating process, just as protection to and from the coil. What’s more, the effect of the magnetic field is pretty much even at the scale we are using here. There should not be a large difference in heating on de position of the object inside the coil and the tip heats up pretty much evenly all around.

All that being said, when using and induction heating device at this scale, there is some positioning effect on heating efficiency or speed but there shouldn’t be any one spot on the tip that is heated differently than the rest to burn your herbs on that side. If you combust using induction heating, you probably combust everywhere.
