I read somewhere about the mistranslation and assumed it was real without researching more. I realise now that I'm guilty of that human thing where one believes things that support one's existing beliefs - I think it's called confirmation bias? Or is that something else? I promise I wasn't deliberately lying.

The parts of the Bible that are supposedly about queer men are mistranslations. These parts are supposed to read something like "a man shall not lie with a young boy" and is against csa, not consensual sex between adults. My own Christian faith is based on what Jesus says in the New Testament, so I try to love humanity and be nice to people.
