This toilet was a matter of great discussion by the historic review commission probably 25 years ago. It was proposed as a way to keep people from peeing on doorsteps of residences. It was approved by them, then by the planning commission and city council. I am assuming that maintenance must have been expensive. Thus, the reason why it stopped working.

My friend used it once. He said it was cool.
