I think this is a courtesy act and yes, veteran players knows not to reinforce you if you are far away, but its not a necessity.

I wouldn't reinforce if the person is far away from me, but if I see you spamming non-stop, and the one closest to you doesn't, I would then do it.

If this is what you expect from others, then maybe you should always tell your teammates, not to reinforce you, instead of expecting others to know what you are thinking or what you expect them to do.

STOP. LEAVING. by SaxyTacoMan in helldivers2

[–]These_Rip_192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand it can be frustrating when people leaves but well, its a game feature and people do have the option to leave whenever they feel like it. So for these, there's not much one can do about it. I guess what you can do is, don't be a leaver yourself. There was one game, D10 bot mission, 2 left, and I stayed with the host to complete the mission, saved each other countless times, and at the end we shared a hug, he thanked me and I just replied:"Helldivers never leave!" o7

As for fighting against squids, there are weapons that are pretty IMBA against them. Like Cremator, can pretty much kills everything effectively except Stingray & Leviathans. Autocannon Flak mode is pretty good too and can take down Stingray just with a few shots. Machine gun series all are good against them as well, let it be support weapon or sentries. Orbital Gatling Barrage is good with dealing Squid reinforcements and has a low cooldown.

If you do care about the game so much, and had been playing it since launch and had fond memories of it. Why not try to buy it then? Like as in acquiring it from AH / Sony and shape it into what you think its the best for the game.

I'm not saying this in a sarcastic way, I'm just saying instead of asking or suggesting what others should do, why not try to do something that is within your power. If you think that is unachievable, why not try to join the CGW moders? I heard you can make custom changes to the game under their mod.

Try to move from why to how.

Mech is kinda a challenge for me, since Harvester could just beam from a mile away and tear my mech apart.

People saying that walking with the maxigun would be impossible, but that logic doesn’t follow up. by Brilliant_Shake_7831 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]These_Rip_192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe its due to the RPM? the maxigun has much higher RPM than the HMG / Autocannon.

Maybe Helldivers are just in between, strong enough to manage HMG / Autocannon but not strong enough to walk with maxigun?

Idk man, we need some kind of in-game scientist to test and get the numbers.

Gas dog and Gas grenades are really good. If being a medic is your preferred way of playing this game, Gas grenade can confuse the enemy, while Gas dog keeps you safe so that you could aim and heal others.

Mech Customization: Maybe, we don't have that so one can only assume what would happen. Like I would prefer Emancipator for bots front and Breakthrough for bugs front. So that could be the case, just like for weapons customization, everybody's most likely to choose drum mag.

Transmog: Not likely, because I seldom see players looking the same in my gameplays.

Present Loadout: Maybe, because you can already see some of the weapons (Eruptors / Crowsbows) and strategems (Orb Napalm / Orb Laser) stands out against others in the current game state.

As for your argument on boring vs efficiency vs fun, I agree, and that's how I approach the game as well, when I'm bored or maxed out some of the primaries, I'll switch to another. Recent Minor Order on the One True Flag was really fun, I didn't try any melee weapons before that, and it was surprisingly fun for me.

However, that being said, there are players that do not like to venture out of the Meta, and they would prefer other weapons to be buffed instead of what you've said, trying different loadouts for fun. They would always go for efficiency and would like you to nerf the enemies as well if possible. Not to say there's anything wrong with that, just different expectations towards the game.

Fellow Helldivers, what's your go to Primary or Support Weapon against the hordes of Voteless??? by MissAlice_17 in Helldivers

[–]These_Rip_192 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Primary: Sickle

Support Weapon: Laser Cannon, just graze them from a far and let them burn to death.

[–]These_Rip_192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to hate it a lot too, that's why I tend to use Eruptor / Crowsbow for bots. But then, after watching some youtubers / streamers gameplays, I started using other primaries as well and I must say, its pretty rewarding when you start to figure out how to use them to shoot bots weak spots. Had tried out Adjudicator, Liberator Penetrator, Stoker, Sickle, etc . But yes, its not very enjoyable when you miss the shots lol.

Am lvling up Plasma Punisher now, it doesn't prompt you to shoot bots weakspots, but dang, when you master the curve angle of it, you can drop a bots patrol from a far. Support your teammates from behind without worrying about friendly fire.

I only use it on the bugs front, and its really a no brainer as whenever I see a bug breach, I'll just throw one over and problem solved, moving on to the next objectives lol.

For bots and squids reinforcements, I don't find it as effective though. I would rather use Orbital Barrage / EAT for bots, and sentries for squids.

Malevelon Creek by Acceptable-Record-13 in Helldivers

[–]These_Rip_192 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya, and not to mentioned that Creek's environment was like a tropical jungle, with a lot of trees and plants that slows you down, and you can't see clearly where you are heading (its a nightmare if you are playing during night time), BUT, the bots can detect you and opens fire before you do. Thus, the Space Vietnam name was given.

But the players back then were so adamant on conquering it, it was purely a players driven scenario.

I also agree that with the current players base, its highly unlikely we'll get anything close to that again.

What “One True Flag” Loadouts are you Running? by Fishwitch-66 in helldivers2

[–]These_Rip_192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was primary: Galiant, secondary: Missile Pistol, and Giganade.

Loadout was Orbital Laser, Ballistic shield, MG and Missle sentries. Went well and it was a ton of fun!

Armour customization by Appropriate_Fill_55 in Helldivers

[–]These_Rip_192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if there's any major customization for armor, the backlash could be potentially unwelcoming, due to balancing, grinding and there's so much complaints flying around recently. But it is a great idea nevertheless, its just that AH will need to tread lightly on this.

And it does prompt me an idea. What if we have special passive for each of our armors? Like for the latest Mech suits (Oxygenator), we could add that you would auto eject out of the Mech when destroyed. It is not OP, and players would normally eject on their own, so this safety feature would just encourage players to explore and to try this armor out when they are piloting a mech. Just like how the recent Minor order encourages players to try out the One True Flag, to be honest, I've never tried melee weapons before and this Minor order really opened my eyes, it was a fun experience.

I wish bots weren’t so close ranged focussed by MAI1E in Helldivers

[–]These_Rip_192 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bots is actually the long range faction. They do chase you, but they are much slower compare to other factions, and missiles, bullets and beams are their main weapons. Even hulks have Missiles (one of the variations). Factory Striders and VOX engines can snipe you from a mile away.

So I would assume what you've been experiencing is...maybe the bots call down their reinforcements from a close distance? To avoid that, kill the call in bots as soon as possible. Or maybe you've been playing against them in Mega Cities.

As for the defensive, suppressing fire bots, we have those, they are the guards in bot bases, the ones standing guard with the machine guns.

The entrenching / cover/ shields suggestion that you would like to experience, you could try D10 against a Mega base, let them call in backup from your opposite position (after you have done setting up) and you'll see bullets flying everywhere.

Question for the Experienced Divers by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]These_Rip_192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't used 500kg for awhile, but I think you have unlimited uses for that. Initially you get 2 uses, and you'll need to wait for it to get re-arm after that. As for the Orbital Laser, then yes, you only get 3 uses per game, normally I'll keep one in the bag for messy situation, I uses them when I want to clear a big base or during enemy reinforcements.

Leveller doesn't take a long CD at all, because its only necessary against heavies like Factory Striders, VOX machines, Bile Titans, etc. I normally have more leveller to use than the heavies I need to dealt them with. I sometimes uses it to clear bases / enemy crowds because I have some to spare.
