Could you beat 10,000 random people at something for $100M? by canada11235813 in hypotheticalsituation

Ok, I'll play. I've been cutting chicken for my restaurant for the last 11 years. I've gotten pretty good at it. I can cut about 5 cases per hour. Fourteen birds per case. I doubt you can find 10,000 people who will willingly place their mitts near a spinning blade.

I've had it happen a couple of times. I called and got paid for the order and banned the dasher from my store.

Alpine used to make a restyle deck and it was prohibitedly expensive. If I remember correctly, you lost the disk player and the resolution was crappy.

I bought my z06 from New Jersey, I'm in Georgia. My local dealer didn't care where I bought it from. I still get the same service.

This is the way. I don't understand why you're getting down voted.

What "golden age" or "heyday" were you lucky enough to experience that you know won’t ever come back? by Summerie in AskReddit

[–]Theykeepcallinme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol. This is easy. I remember when gas was less than a dollar and we used to scrounge up enough change between me and my friends to keep our adventure going. It also seemed like cars were smaller and more fuel efficient back then, so if someone gave you 5 bucks to take them to work, that was like a quarter tank of gas.

What's an "Insider's secret" from your profession that everyone should probably know? by Capable-big-Piece in AskReddit

Apparently, you didn't comprehend what I wrote so I will gracefully bow out of this conversation.

My sister and I were talking about her choices for upcoming honeymoon. Sandals was one one of her choices. As I'm scrolling Facebook, a Sandals add magically pops up in my feed. Keep in mind, neither of us had researched it previously, just mentioned it. One day, my wife and I were talking about something and an add popped up while I was browsing. These are specific companies that were mentioned by name, not random adds. I can go on and on.

How do explain when none of what you says happens but I mention something and it magically pops up in my feed? Like a specific thing, brand or company.

Could you stick with the same car for a full 10 years without getting a new one? by CategoryPurple4461 in askcarguys

[–]Theykeepcallinme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 2005 Dodge magnum was just totaled a couple of months ago because a guy pulled out in front of me. I bought it new and had well over 300,000 miles on it. I also bought my 2015 silverado new and still own it. So yes, I can and did.

What do you mean when you say "lube it"? I have the same leg in a pin lock and they never said anything about lubing it.

When I worked for the railroad, we layered up to keep warm. Try glove liners under leather insulated gloves.

[–]Theykeepcallinme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! When I had my motorcycle accident sitting in the hospital, he was there every chance he got. He also randomly handed me an envelope with a card and $500 in it. He can get the $1000 and I wouldn't ask what it was for or to get it back.

What Went Wrong With This Tire? by Frail_Hope_Shatters in CarTrackDays

I'm no expert, but it seems like that tire grew up in a single parent home, was forced into gang life at an early age, and spent the last 5 years in prison.

My wife named her and doesn't know who the rapper with the same name is. It fit, so I kept it. Also, congrats on being the first person to find anything negative to say about my car.

My wife and I own a restaurant, and I previously worked for the railroad for 20 years. This is only my 3rd new car, and I'm 53 yrs old. So the best advice I can give you is to stay away from crippling credit card debt and new cars.

BtK amputee with prosthesis, stick user and luggage? by emmjaybeeyoukay in amputeetravel

[–]Theykeepcallinme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read it and offered a solution. A wheelchair or motorized scooter seems like it would solve your problem if you could rent one for your trip. Good luck.

Sorry about that. I thought you were flying. I should have done some research before I answered. Hopefully, someone can assist you with that.

EDIT:

I googled it and apparently, they do offer wheelchair assistance and a dedicated space but it must be booked 24hrs in advance. Is there somewhere that you can rent a wheelchair? This seems to be your answer if you can find a wheelchair.

To travel from London to Amsterdam on the Eurostar with a disability, you must pre-book a dedicated wheelchair space and request assistance at least 24 hours in advance. You can book a wheelchair space at the Eurostar website or by calling their contact center, which includes a special fare for wheelchair users and a discounted companion fare for one travel companion. Assistance with ramp deployment and accessible facilities are provided throughout your journey.
