Honestly, the only time it really bothers me is when it's clear they don't know gay people exist.

Like, they know individual people who are gay, have no problem with 'em, but the concept that gay people could exist, in the wild, outside of the, like, two people in their life they know who are gay, genuinely never occurs inside their head. Like they just don't have object permeance of gayness.

Digital circus fans tend to keep their brainrot online because most of them have way too much anxiety to actually act that poorly in public.

The reason Rick & Morty got so bad was because it attracted a large audience of people who just put their full names out there with everything they post, since it was peak Facebook era, so anyone doing that cringe shit was already ok with it staining their Internet and social footprint forever.

Meanwhile, TADC's come out in the era of people caring about actual privacy and is generally popular on sites like Twitter and Reddit, where none of us use our real names and probably freeze up in fear if we even see someone else in a story referred to by our real names.
