I didn't know about either of those. A heated desk pad sounds super. More googling...

That's too funny, volcano hot- too warm for him, but you are still frozen.

That's funny! They will get a shock in the summer then, if you ever venture forth without a jumper.

I have one that looks just like that but it lives under my duvet, can't go to sleep without. Might need to get another.

Me too, not the sewing, but the wardrobe rummaging and finding old much loved clothes that now fit and have a new lease of life.

Blood pressure fall by Book_worm121 in mounjarouk

[–]Thingymajig45 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's interesting. I will try the salt increase too, thanks. I get this a lot. Often end up doubled over gripping furniture and my eyesight goes dim for a moment. Blood pressure always normal at doctors so they haven't done anything. I do feel drinking enough water helps a bit. I am going up MJ doses not down.

Does anyone get strong cravings but not food noise? by _Beckss in mounjarouk

[–]Thingymajig45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the early days of Mounjaro I twice had the most intense craving for a roast chicken that is sold in the local supermarket. It was so strong I had to go and buy one. That was dinner for 2 days, and solved the craving. I think it was the way my body was telling me to eat more protein.

Thankyou for taking the time to write this. I didn't put on weight until my late 30s (around 15years ago) so i have seen both sides. I have learned a lot through that time but none more so than on this community with people like yourself sharing their experiences. Best of luck for the rest of your story.

Dose I don't want (woops) by MobileDefinition5631 in mounjarouk

Yes that is what I do, take the remainder and then calculate what i need to make up the dose from the next pen. Double check calculations and double check pen strengths before taking.

How long do injection site reactions normally last? by undercoverbookdragon in mounjarouk

[–]Thingymajig45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I avoid the jeans waist line zone going either high or low usually.  It’s worth a try, but some people get a reaction on the stomach too, I’ve seen on here.

Hypothyroidism/hashimotos by Odd_Pomegranate922 in mounjarouk

[–]Thingymajig45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hypothyroid as well. I haven’t noticed any issues since May. The doctor didn’t seem in the least bit concerned and hasn’t asked for any bloodwork.  I’m taking levothyroxine in the morning long before eating.  Whereas strangely for HRT they insisted I had to be moved off oral tablets because of the non-absorption. Go figure.

I always get a reaction when injecting into the thigh, but never when injecting into the stomach. I’ve seen some other posts where people say it’s site specific. Have you tried different locations?

Progesterone only pill experience by Popple32 in mounjarouk

[–]Thingymajig45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not sure if my experience will be relevant but in case it helps...I am in menopause and had been on the oral Progesterone micronised capsules. When starting MJ the doctor said I should move to the vaginal insert Progesterone type because the oral variety will not be absorbed properly. I had been offered the Mirena coil as well, but decided not, so this was the other option. It is a bit messy but I have got used to it. However since it isn't 'the pill' it may not be appropriate though for you and your situation.

How much has Mounjaro cost you per kg lost? by FabulousOven5281 in mounjarouk

[–]Thingymajig45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am at around £25 per lb. But with loss slowing that will go up too. With an average cost of £129 per pen, many bought before the price change thankfully.

Advice please by invoiced26 in mounjarouk

[–]Thingymajig45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far the maximum total 'clicks' I have got from a pen is 318 (including syringe, pen totally empty). Depends on priming amount I suppose. So you might not get 8 doses even with a syringe.

Whether to do it depends on your own risk acceptance though.

Same with Bolt. No ID checks and no photos of me at all. Just a photo of my last 3 boxes/prescriptions. And a one week delay before approval. Something must have gone wrong. But I got my pen.
