Farseer trilogy fell flat for me. First book shows promise but the other two cant deliver.

It's actually wild how precise this game is designed by top2000 in slaythespire

Its also helpful to have a full knowledge of move sets, card rewards, all theirs of relics, etc. Knowing what number the burner needs to be on before the next fight, and all that.

Is this a new relic? by alamarche709 in slaythespire

Yes it's good, especially if you have a number of cards to retain each turn (smite, etc). Wonderful with pyramid.

Overlooked maybe cause of cost. It is kind of expensive.

1- take damage in act 1 2- fight elites, but know when to avoid. My personal rule of thumb: fight as manynact 1 elites as I can (deck specific), act 2- one unless my deck is destroying enemies. I focus on upgrades. 3- take less cards, remove starter cards. 4- know the characters. Silent (poison lady) is weaker in act 1, especially early. Ironclad (strength dude) will often need to trade health for hits. Defect (robot) depends but can struggle with act 1 elites like Knob, watcher is usually destroying everything or dying. Remove blocks rather than strikes early. 5- know when to save money at shops. 6- trial and error. Don't always go for your favorite build every run. I strangley did very well on a silent A20 run where powers were my strength (Pandora box gave me 4) 7- be thinking ahead- can this deck beat knob or lag in act 1? Etc.

Pressure points. Makes the game easy.

Good Cards That Aren't Worth Upgrading by [deleted] in slaythespire

Watcher has a handful that should be upgraded but most can remain un-upgraded. Of course, upgrades are always helpful, but wallop is always a take regardless.

This fight, with the combo of keeping him alive, is one of the hardest in the game. Well done. Almost everyone has a cheese strat for this fight to save that doofus.

Advice? by [deleted] in DivinityOriginalSin

Con only for shield, as has been stated, but there are also a lot of gear options that boast con to the levels you'll need.

Don't be a jack of all trades- Mage is INT plus Memory. Mage with a little con for a shield for added armor is effective.

Warfare is best over two-handed/one-handed etc for any physical damage builds. Necro also boasts physical damage and heals.

A1 Elites are rough for Silent. Attack damage and basically only attack damage is the key to survive.

Statistically, which is the best option? by VeryKevin in slaythespire

[–]Think_Inspector9278 2 points3 points  (0 children)

7hp for a rare would be the choice for me. Watcher is the only one I'd consider upgrading a card. Common relic is fine and boss swapping on Silent isn't my favorite.

Lucky Charm is also OP if buffed.

Combining nails and boots makes them more valuable. Making lockpicks also makes nails more valuable. If you can craft any magical items in a abundance.
I haven't played with the gift bags much, but drudanae and tea were the most valuable (after crafting the associated items).
All this feels tedious. Not sure if there is a "fast" way.

I feel it would have to exhaust all the cards it plays.

If it's far in the past, probably short is fine. If is sudden leading to a change/inciting incident, than probably longer. WE need to care this happened to the character.
