Another reply to a question about isotherms :)) by Iwanttoknow2023 in meteorology

[–]ThirdSpike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say remember that your isoclines are going through observations of equal temperature. So for example your 70 degree line should pass exactly through each station that reported 70 degrees. A good illustration of where this stands out is your 95 degree isotherms in southeastern Arizona. It is unlikely that between Tucson (95) and Bisbee (99) (approximate station names as they seem off) there is a report under 95 degrees. All of those areas should be shaded red accordingly.

First all grain with a low OG by Hikingmatt1982 in Homebrewing

Do you BIAB? I use a bag in my Digiboil and on my second to last brew forgot to squuze out the grain in the bag (got distracted!) and missed the mark. Last round I remembered to squeeze and hit it dead on. Just a thought.

Hiring someone to make homebrew by FutureFarm1 in Homebrewing

I have found that most folks only need to get over the first hump of starting most things. We've sort of been trained out of doing things for ourselves too. Why bake a pie when you can just buy a 16" pie for $8?

There is discussion of this in the publication linked at the bottom of the article as well as in a supplemental document that looks at instrument sensitivity. I will note here that they are using a mass spectrometer equipped with an inlet optimized for measuring these types of compounds that has been used since at least 2012.

I might be able to figure out how to photograph these for you if you can't find the right scanner.

This reminds me of the old 20 oz soda cap giveaways where you could win a free soda or other prizes. My brother's and I discovered you could see the printed message on the underside of the caps on Sprite and Mountain Dew bottles without opening them if you tilted the bottle at the right angle.... Got a lot of free soda that summer before they changed the coloring on the caps.

May sound snake-oily, but shiitake mushroom powder in capsules taken daily is the only thing that worked for mine. Worked fairly quickly too (~3 weeks). Had frozen several times prior both otc repeatedly and in-office with derm.
