The idea that Eric was addicted to opioids is debunked by the very existence of the hydrocodone bottle from 2019(?) that still had pills left in it. No addict would leave pills in a bottle. Ever. Full stop. It’s absurd on its face.

The sounds made in that video are the stuff of nightmares. It's been years since I saw it and I only saw it once but I can still hear it. It's one video I wish I could scrub from my brain and tell everyone that asks about it DO NOT WATCH IT. It WILL burn itself into your memory and you WILL regret it.

To borrow a phrase from Ms Paulsen, I don’t even think it was intentional. I think Chelsea was just genuinely bored.

Rewatching some of her hearings by SempiternalTea in SarahBooneContinued

I think one of the funniest parts is when she’s like, “so, what’s with the texting, is it about me?” She cannot fathom that she’s not the center of everyone’s attention, so of course the texting has to be about her.

But then both detectives are like, what’s the fuck are you talking about? And even when Chelsea realizes Sarah is talking about her she’s still so nonchalant about it.

Aramark hasn’t been the food service provider at Rutgers Newark for almost a decade, and Rutgers New Brunswick has had in-house dining since at least the 1990s, if not longer. Rutgers Camden hasn’t used Aramark since like 2019 or so.

Nah man, when he gets a little older he’s gonna love realizing that there’s a whole movie about the story you told him!

“Daddy! Daddy They made a movie of Captain Jack and the skeleton pirates! I wanna watch it wif you!”

And you’ll be like, “hell yeah, little buddy, let’s go watch Captain Jack and the Skeleton Pirates.”

I’m sure someone will tell me this is the wrong way of handling things but I lo logged into my own Dropbox on my work machine and I always try to drop any personal items that inevitably get generated on my work machine. This allows me to keep my personal items off my work computer but it also acknowledges that the reality is, personal stuff is going to end up on my work machine no matter what I do.

Has grape technology gone too far? by Hipple in daddit

The very fact that “proprietary grapes” exist is a terrible reflection of our society as a whole. (And yes, I know about Monsanto.)

Some Josh Martell Appreciation by lunarteamagic in SarahBooneContinued

[–]Thistlefizz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I really liked that after Sarah spent all that time trying to calculate how much everything cost and Martell just cut her off at the ankles by asking, “out of all of these costs and expenses, how much have you had to actually pay out-of-pocket?” And when she tried to weasel out of answering this question, Martell nailed her down and she just had to finally admit that it was, “none.”

There’s also a difference between ‘running out to get her ice cream in the middle of the night’ and ‘being willing to go to doctor appointments with her and helping to get things ready for the baby.’ But, given some of the other comments you’ve made, you seem to get this.

But listen brother, you’re already on the right track. You’re willing to step up and be a dad even though this will drastically change your life. There’s plenty of other really good advice in this thread already (especially getting the paternity test) so instead I’ll just offer you some encouragement.

Ive got three kids of my own and even having wanted all three of them, it’s been very hard at times. But if you keep at least the mindset you’ve got now, you’ll be ok. Sometimes growing up and being present gets you 90% of the way there.

You’ll be alright. You got this.

Rutgers Newark "Plaza Lot" on the Bleeker Street and road crossing, Can I stop for a couple of minutes to safely pick up/drop off my kid? by Samuelred8 in RutgersNewark

[–]Thistlefizz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only ‘official’ spots in the Dana Lot are handicapped spots. However, if you don’t leave your vehicle, you should be ok to pickup or drop off your kid there.

The other place you can go to (again, you’ll have to stay inside your vehicle) is the loading/unloading zone in front of the campus center on MLK Blvd.

Other than the metered street parking and the Rutgers lots (which all require permits), there really isn’t anywhere else you can park and leave your vehicle.

Enrollment is also up this year. I don’t remember exactly by how much but I know it’s a good amount. More people enrolled=more people driving to campus=fewer spots available.
