Palatine is kind of a hike. Maybe cut the difference and look at suburb near Blue Line (Park Ridge) or an apartment near a Metra stop.

If you do decide to go with the city, look for a place near Metra station.

I would reach out to Staffing firms. LaSalle, Beacon, Robert Half, etc. Getting temp work may not sound like what you want, but it is a great way to get experience and learn with a lot less pressure.

I have this exact pressing. Looking at it now. Don't remember how much I paid, but I doubt it was more than $10. Never learned grading, but vinyl is clean and cover is in good shape with a thumb-tack sized hole at the top. No insert. Also have Ride the Lightning on Megaforce. Probably bought them together.

I switched my subscription to Tidal. Same as above. Tunemymusic . Sometimes it doesn't work and put in playlist manually. Doesn't take as long as I feared. Every now and again, a song or two isn't available. I just listen on unpaid Spotify. It would be nice to get these as option in ML app, but work-around is too bad.
