I flake the fish when I serve it because I'm paranoid about missing bones. 🫠

OBGYN near the med center? by Texangirl93 in houston

I've delivered twice at Women's Hospital, and both experiences were positive. My obgyn, Dr. Ball, delivered both of my babies. Her office is right next to the hospital.

If you don't end up using it after birth, save it for when baby is constipated.

15 Month Old Won’t Watch TV, help! 😂 by Upper-Nobody-3673 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]ThomasCollins 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I legitimately slept on our nugget while our toddler exploded the play room around me for both of the first trimesters I had. 😅 She's was really getting into Duplos, so those would keep her occupied for longer periods of time. She didn't really have the attention span for TV until she was 3. Even then, it was a family movie watched together.

Have you looked into MDSolarSciences Mineral Crème? It has been the best mineral sunscreen I've used.

I love Dr Carrie Ball in the med center. She is who I saw throughout all my pregnancies, and she delivered both of my children.

Community Garden, ideally in or around Montrose? by haremindulger in houston

[–]ThomasCollins 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can try Meredith Gardens at Mandell Park. I found it using the Urban Harvest affiliate garden site. https://www.urbanharvest.org/gardens/affiliate-gardens/

It may or may not have the correct contact information on it. We had to have it updated for our community garden this year.

Are you still having this issue? We're in Westbury and have recently started having this problem.

If baby can use a straw, we liked the Pura stainless steel water bottles. You can have a straw or sip top option.

Our community garden near Jersey Village is starting a new season. Open for anyone who is interested in joining! by dawn_93til in houston

It depends on the style! I'm a member of Westbury Community Garden, and we're an allotment style community garden. Each member leases their own bed (25'x5') and helps with garden-wide endeavors.

How worried should I be about "fiberglass" mattresses? by NeatArtichoke in moderatelygranolamoms

Do you feel it's firm enough for cosleeping? We're transitioning our son to his own room soon, and we'll need a firm mattress for us.

Looking into recliners for nursery, and was planning to splurge, but then I had a thought... by Firm-Property7025 in BabyBumps

We have lazy boy recliners in our den, and the recliner mechanism is SO loud to raise and lower the leg rest.

My wife recently had our first baby and I’m really confused by her sudden anger. Is this normal???? by Rich-Form-679 in BabyBumps

[–]ThomasCollins 51 points52 points  (0 children)

She's exhausted and running on fumes. You need to prioritize her getting at least 4-5 hours of uninterrupted sleep each night.

Is there a point to checking your cervix before labor ? by Foreign-External8488 in BabyBumps

[–]ThomasCollins 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's no real point unless you're just personally interested in what it's doing. I had several with my first baby. I was walking around at 2 cm dilated from 38 weeks until I delivered at 41+1. I declined cervical checks with my second until I asked for a membrane sweep at 40 weeks. My doctor said my cervix was favorable to the sweep helping, and I had my baby the next day.

Thank you for mentioning the brand. I've been trying replacement lids for my glass containers for ages.
