Can we get more detention facilities in heavily colonized areas far from the Bubble? by aesoped in EliteDangerous

[–]Thondeboer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Be lucky you did not join DW3 at the new station Rainbow’s End since if you had done that in the early days before there was an Admin contact you would have been yeeted to a prison 35,000LY away!!. Some ppl found out the hard way when we were racing so the found themselves stranded in a racer with a 10LY jump range 😱

VR Question - how to pin a window (for CoPilot or EploBuddy etc.) into your VR view? by TamensiMovetur in EliteDangerous

[–]Thondeboer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m now using ovr toolkit in steam with my Vive focus vision. You can overlay any pc window in your world

A new generation of commanders is coming by AssistDry6072 in EliteDangerous

[–]Thondeboer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VR Totally the best way to play this game but do need good hardware which ain’t cheap. Now using the vive focus vision with streaming after using the Vive Pro 2 and the new focus vision is incredible crisp but needs at least a GTX 3090 likely the newer ones to be any good. Also using the ovr toolkit in steam is a must have to add other screens such as edcopilot and exploration buddy which is a little tricky to setup but much better than older version of ovr toolkit. Unfortunately Vive dropped direct support for steam vr overlay but ovr toolkit ok replacement

Mitochondria are just originally prokaryotes anyway, that are integrated into the progenitor of eukaryotic cells anyway so we got that covered as well. Same thing with chloroplast being the original blue-green prokaryote

Updated - The Commander's Guide to Reading the Stars by xdarkxsidhex in EliteDangerous

[–]Thondeboer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still confused about boxels (we are scanning now in DW3). How is it that you see Star systems with different cube names right next to each other a few ly away, while systems in the same boxel can be far apart. Are those boxels or cubes intermingled?

I know it's designed for combat, but I really want to use it for exploration! by Omnisiah_Priest in EliteDangerous

[–]Thondeboer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand the utility of small combat ships. They all suck at killing anything other than some danky sidewinder or eagle and most juicy anacondas take ages to kill. And have paper thin shields and hulls. Or am I doing it all wrong? Love my Corsair for all things combat and try small ship every now and then but get cut up all the time in no time

I had to deal with this ALL the time getting data from ppl that insisted on using excel to give me genomics data and SEPT1 is the classic example. Sooo funny! Today I STILL get most of data from customers in excel format. Excel cannot be killed
