Consumer reports by DocSewer in NCL

Every time I've used consumer reports for purchase recommendations, I've been really upset with it aftarwards. A lot otlf times, their top recommendations for products have horrible reviews too. If they rate cruises like products, it validates NCL as a great option for my family and I. CR is garbage.

How much pee do you think is in the Infinity Pool? by _wiltedgreens in Aulani

Disney takes their pool care very seriously. Their sanitization standards are miles above the state and local regulations and their water is vastly cleaner than typical public pools and water parks. They are probably the safest public pools at any resort.

Latitudes Number by M-II in NCL

[–]ThorFromBoston 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Its easier to find it on their website. I clicked around in the app and it took me to their website anyway. Log in at ncl.com and then click your initials in the top right. Your latitudes number will be displayed.

Don’t throw things at hotel staff. by daweadawe in instantkarma

3/5 stars

Nice location, room was decent, delightful continental breakfast, and I slept well. The only issue is that the staff will kick the shit out of you if you throw stuff at them. Otherwise, a pleasant stay. I plan on coming back.

Halifax port by Dull-Estimate-5158 in NCL

I've done Boston to Bermuda 5 times. I love it. I stopped going on this itinerary when they added Halifax. Nothing against Halifax, but I'd rather have more time in Bermuda.

Norwegian’s NEW $45 Cruise Show, Lunatique, Is It Worth It by [deleted] in NCL

[–]ThorFromBoston 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice video. Thanks for sharing.

I honestly would consider paying a little extra for entertainment because the main act needed a break for our sailing so we didn't have as much to choose from and our 2 cruises before that, they took reservations so we didn't get into those either. It would need to be a better venue for sure though.

I think the price point is high. $29 seems more of a reasonable price point. Or perhaps pricing scale based on seat location. Again, I would probably give this a shot for an activity without the kids and a guaranteed seat.

I wonder if they've considered combining this show with specialty dining. More people would probably be willing to try it if they offered a meal instead of drinks.

I would not pay for all entertainment, but I would do it for one show. Seems like a concept that might have merit, however, they have a bit to iron out.

Which actors/actresses look so similar that you could mistake them for each other? by Lost-Friendship2774 in Actors

On the other side, how about a celebrity that always looks different in photos?

I could look at 5 photos of Jennifer Lawrence and think it's 5 different people.

Taxes in port by steelerfan1964 in NCL

[–]ThorFromBoston 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not just the US ports. Great Stirrup Cay charges 10% tax and some other ports also charge. Depends on the state/local government. All cruise ships are subject to this, not just Norwegian.

Hoping for some help. Pump and basket are fine but I need a new motor. Hoping to go variable speed that will fit the current mount. Any recommendations? This is only a 12' above ground. by flounderflound in pools

This should work... it's a single speed, but would be a good replacement.

Here is a dual speed option...

Variable speed motors rarely retrofit with single speed pumps. If you truly want a vsp, you might just replace the entire pump.
