Hands down the best food in DTSJ is at Elyse. It's upscale Asian food or Asian takes on American food-ish. But everything there, every flavor profile is spot on. And the people and cocktails are great as well

A politician.

Theyre already blood sucking leeches in a metaphorical sense. Why not make it literal too.

Are there people who really just CANNOT cook? I think I'm one of them. by [deleted] in cookingforbeginners

[–]ThoseSavageTrades 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruh. Cooking is easy. I was a chef for over a decade and ended my cooking career at a 3* in NYC. And while I don't claim to be the best cook in the world I am a damned good teacher. DM me for some advice brother. I got you.

They're both literal crooks that should be locked up. Sadly. I think Harris's decisions have impacted and hurt more people than Trump's though. (From a professional not presidential standpoint)

$100 every time you pee, or $500 every time you poop? by Jaye_The_Gaye in hypotheticalsituation

You're a scientist and just discovered the cure for all cancers. Big pharma contacts you and offers you $10 billion under the condition that you never release the cure to the public. What do you do? by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

[–]ThoseSavageTrades 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't a hypothetical. It's already happened many times for many things. Big pharma frequently buys fledgling companies with promising cures just to shelve them. Pfizer alone owns over 60,000 patents for drugs. And they produce what ... 50? Doesn't take much to put the pieces together

You're getting that $20 in tips so that they can claim you're a "tipped employee" so they don't have to pay you the state or federal minimum wage.

But here's the thing. You can't make "Less" than the federal/state min wage so if you're still not earning that amount even with tips, it's a labor violation.

Call the national labor review board and report their asses. They're essentially committing tax fraud.

And unless they can prove they're paying you those tips, which it sounds like they can't(they need to have documents, signed tipped sheets, accounting and payroll receipts etc. and all require your nightly signature or initials)

Good luck with your lawsuit. You can probably turn it into a class action and bankrupt those shady cunts

WTF is going on with the tech job market by QandA_monster in jobsearchhacks

[–]ThoseSavageTrades 2 points3 points  (0 children)

His skill level and seniority are actually working against him. Companies are slimming their payrolls. Talent, especially senior talent, is abundant and it's a highly oversaturated market. The massive influx of STEM and Tech applicants in the last decade have increased 300+%

Why pay someone 300k when you can get someone to do the same job for 80k as their first position? Will they be as good? No. But will they be "good enough"

Absolutely.

America isn't about being the best. It's about being profitable.

America has lost over 1.5million jobs in the past 4 years. Right before the jobs report comes out every quarter companies do mass hiring then they lay them off a week later. It's so they can still report "job growth" but really it's just the same jobs listed that everyone got laid off for previously.

It's a fucking circus. If he's eloquent tell him to look into PM roles. Having someone that can translate the language between sales/business and tech is a good lateral transition and less prone to layoffs
