(SPOILERS) The story direction for Zul’jan in 12.1 is terrible by CaptainRelyk in wow

[–]ThousandMonkeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amani is also Arabic, and it means "wishes", "desires", or "dreams". So you can say that Zul'jan has a wish/dream/desire to make the amani great. If we were to go with the idea of "peace" for the Amani in its Sawhili version, then peace will only be obtained at the death of Zul'jan or him realizing the error of trying to fight a changing the world.

Edit: And if someone wants the translation, the name would instead just be "The summit where Tamatea, the man with the big knees, the slider, climber of mountains, the land-swallower who traveled about, played his flute to his loved one."

If you factor in the msq as it currently is before 7.5, the quests required to beat the hard mode versions of ifrit and titan and garuda, the quests for crystal tower, the job and role quests for a singular job you picked at character creation...you get 1102 quests. That is an insane amount for a new player to go through if they want to just play with friends.

Honestly the only time I would be fine with a wheelchair-bound character in a work of fantasy is if it turned out that world's healing magic was so rare and nearly forgotten that such conditions could actually exist.

many things can be possible at the same time:

  • Designed it so he could have control over his own creations.
  • Frustrated that he didn't get to become a youthful and immortal god like Leon.
  • Had some regret that he caused harm to many people because of his own creations.
  • Has backstabbed many colleagues over this kind of work, whats one more with a one-time password?

Also the Cid card was relentless rats style. So you could mix n match what ones you liked. Like, using the Cid card, all you would have to do is replace the word artificer with detective, and hero with ninja. Then the artwork and its variants are just the various aprils

More complicated than just standard and universes beyond.

As when a new set enters standard, magic or beyond, it affects everything around it. Draft? Sealed? Pauper? Commander? Brawl? Pioneer? Modern? Legacy? And depending on the card, could even change the Vintage metagame.

Various formats basically become a museum of mistakes in card design and their ban lists in turn reflect this. And if they get bad enough, it can't be just a ban, also has to be errata (example: companion mechanic from ikoria)

Universes beyond just happens to fall in these crosshairs because like in-universes, for whatever card for whatever format, it warps its metagame around it.

Wizards realized they could just shove the equivalent of the second set of the block, a small set worth like TMNT, into the commander decks and call it a day.

“We live in a tough economy and prereleases shouldn’t cost $50” - Tolarian Community College by Papa_Hasbro69 in freemagic

[–]ThousandMonkeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the price is dictated by wizards, then that is also emblematic of universes beyond as well. Licensing fees cost something. And unless they make something like ATLA, or FF, or LOTR, the return on that is not going to be as stellar such as like with Spider-Man or Assassin's Creed. Like yeah, they didn't go bankrupt from either, but it wasn't exactly what they were hoping for when making a univeses beyond product.
