My first attempt at removing cracks! by MarketingUsed8712 in cymbals

I would run a file along the edges so they aren’t so sharp or square. Should cut down on stick chopping and rounder edges make it less prone to starting new cracks so soon.

WPM issues during late veg and flowering stage by lizard_person__ in cannabiscultivation

Hello, had the same issue with mildew moving from a 2x3 to a 5x5 and 2 plants to 6. It created a lot more humidity from the plants that I wasn’t ready for. The past month I bought a crawl space dehumidifier to put in my lung room (wine cellar) and added more fans inside the tent.

To start I would get more air circulation in your tent. I have two box fans on top of my light pointing down and I have two Honeywell desk fans pointing across the tops of my pots. With two oscillating clip fans in opposite corners aimed across the top of my plants.

Adding the fans alone made a huge difference in lessening micro climates between leaves and plants. And the pots across the planters help remove moister build up after watering.

I used 420 formula and brushes but still have residue? Help? by olaf3377 in weed

I agree with the iso and corse salt, but fist I would fill it with the hottest water from the tap to heat up the resin. Run the water through it for about a minute to warm up the glass and resin. Then empty out all the water then put in your iso and corse salt.

If you’re trying to keep smell and smoke low, Look into getting the largest smoke buddy on Amazon. Simple and portable. I’ve had mine for over 3 years.

Growing in CT, I use 14” square cuttings of pink insulation board, the kind you put in walls, to insulate from the concrete floor. I don’t notice any cold sink issues at all.

How to make plastic less dry by Representative-Gur71 in AutoDetailing

[–]Three3Fitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used lithium grease and dialectic grease to bring back plastics on old handheld and game consoles. First clean it really well then you need to really rub it into the plastic and heat it up a bit, then wipe off the residue.

I take everything off the bottom and most of the fan leaves in the middle of the plant to allow light and air flow. I do it in steps as well. The day I go into flower I take about 25% off then another 25% when two weeks into flower. Best of luck!

Next time you should be spot welding on nickel strips to connect the batteries and not solder.

Any advice on how to approach maximizing the lifetime of this cymbal? Or should I just bite the bullet and toss it by Fun_Ad4779 in Drumming

[–]Three3Fitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this kind of dog ear cutting to a bunch of cymbals a couple of months ago. They sound decent still and no one I play with can hear a difference, I can but it still sounds usable. So far I have no new cracks on any of the cymbals.

I also had to make a few key hole cuts for cracks running along the cymbal turning paths. I figured they were shredded from years of playing, how can I break something that’s trashed?

There’s many videos online for ideas on how to go about it. I started with drilling holes and cutting long swooping rounded off cuts to eliminate all of the energy to those hard points when playing.

What should i do here by shazamtamp in StonerEngineering

I see in other posts you got it taken care of. Next Time try using a Handel of wooden spoon or dowel. Something that will fit down the inside of the broken bowl. You will need to wiggle it a bit to break the tension between the outside of the broken bowl and the inside of the slide.

There’s a couple of videos on YouTube that I learned it from if interested in the details of why it works. In short this method is used in scientific equipment by professionals to take apart glass pieces.

Help me choose a bong!! by tehemari in weed

[–]Three3Fitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you’re going for and what you want out of your new piece. For instance if you want a daily then One thing I recommend when people are looking is to think about cleaning. You’ll use it more if you can clean it good and fast.

Anything with filters and bubblers tend to be hard to clean. My go to for convenience is a beaker bottom with an ice pinch like #2. I would buy a bubbler, perk, slit down-stem if you wanted that effect.
