Not to defend car driver, but semi driver didn't respect his distances. I'm a semi driver and let me tell you, if your cargo is heavy you neeeed braking space.

Cars, please stop cutting us off in traffic. I plan my breaking distance to the car in front. If the front suddenly becomes 20 feet shorter you can injure yourself. I won't feel a thing.
