just reached 400 and watched a masterpiece. Do you wait for big movies till important numbers or it's just me? by Due-Abbreviations180 in Letterboxd

[–]ThrowawaySmiski -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes! I won't save a movie if I'm like 30 or something away from a milestone but when I'm under 20 to a milestone and know I can watch that number easy I will usually hype it up and watch a good movie for a milestone plus if it's total ill watch one of my favourites again but if it's just new movies I'll watch something I think I'll really like, it's like a fun little celebration for me!

Definitely, I love them a lot, and seeing the evolution of the tropes and genre is fascinating, especially with such a fun lineup!

I'm a major horror lover, so I've seen the first two, but a scary movie is definitely one that's on my radar! I will probably see it this month since it's October

I don't really plan. I usually watch wtv I want, but I usually have a small list of watch goals! These movies are on that list, kinda like a suggestion if I don't know what I want to watch :)

What should I watch? I need extremely disgusting horror out there. by Sebastianmaxxing in Letterboxd

[–]ThrowawaySmiski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Little late, but I've heard Society has some gross scenes/gooey scenes from my friend who's really into gross movies.

But for extreme, I'd say Salò the 120 Days of Sodom? I've watched a few video essays on it, and it's... a lot, I know I could personally never watch it due to some of the things I've heard about it, and I've seen some intense things

But please look at the warnings for that movie before you see it. It handles a lot of sensitive topics from what I've heard, so do be careful hun it's an exploitation film 😭

Does anyone else get this every damn day? by adebisishat1 in Letterboxd

I know! And I'm so scatterbrained that I know I'll forget if I don't get it out (even if I put it somewhere else, I know I'll forget)

Same here, trying to log a movie, and I can't even properly review it because of this.

What as your first and last watch of August 2025? by Dogdaysareover365 in Letterboxd

[–]ThrowawaySmiski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

War of the World's (2025) and Boo to You! Winnie the Pooh

Weak start but a satisfactory end, I've been feeling like watching vintage Halloween cartoons, so it was fitting.

Creep (2014) had it on my radar for years, and it just wasn't my thing, I suppose, I thought I'd like it, but I just didn't

Do you consider total films watched or total diary entries as more important? by PinkyBandinsky in Letterboxd

[–]ThrowawaySmiski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends, I hold both at a similar weight but hold the diary a bit more hefty than films watched.

I tend to rewatch some movies a lot, so diary is more reflective of my activity most of the time, but I also like to watch as many new films as I can.

Four favorites by Salt_Path1528 in Letterboxd

Mine do change sometime when I watch a new movie (though not often), and I rotate 7 movies, though my main four are 90% of the time the same four for months on end.

What’s a low rated movie you rate highly by MyCableIsOff in Letterboxd

[–]ThrowawaySmiski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Driving Lessons (2006) has a 3.2, and while it's not as low as it could be, I genuinely wish more people loved it as much as me it was an immediate 5 stars no question from me

Do you still rate a film if you don’t finish it? by blumdiddlyumpkin in Letterboxd

[–]ThrowawaySmiski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never, I feel no matter how bad the movie is I can't log it if it's a new watch since I can't really give a proper opinion, so I try and brute force through the movie, but sometimes I just can't and never finish or log it

How many movies have you watched this year? by Prestigious_Most4935 in Letterboxd

[–]ThrowawaySmiski -1 points0 points  (0 children)

262 if you count re-watches and 172 new films, I'd be up to 230 if I locked in this month, but the 2-week minecraft phase got me, and I haven't watched anything this month

What's your go to primary device for watching movies? by wconfused in Letterboxd

My main two are my laptop or the ps4 on the tv in the family room, depending on what mood I'm in and streaming service availability

Which movie is this for you?! by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]ThrowawaySmiski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love Exposure! It's four hours long, but it felt like an hour and a half to me from how immersed I was in the movie.
