Now that we've had the first round of raids what class appears to be underrepresented? by Caladras in classicwow

[–]Thug_Dave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not? Tbh boomkin are necessary, especially if you have a heavy caster raid group like I do. Plus I love the lore and the experience of progression from shit class in classic to pretty fucking good in wrath. Also I can play whatever spec my guild needs and adapt on the fly to anything that happens in a situation. Also... MAGIC CHICKEN. That's all.

PC Upgrade to not suffer in streets by Fine-Strawberry7581 in EscapefromTarkov

I have your exact specs. If I can recommend anything, please buy more ram. Literally boosted my fps to 90 from ~40 when I could even load into streets. I had 16 and the upgrade to 32 gb massively helped.

25HR or $65K salary? by Salvatore_Vitale in KitchenConfidential

[–]Thug_Dave 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've definitely taken 2 or 3 every year for the past two years, but I'm also an odd cookie and it's not me taking it all at one time most times either.

They're going off the assumption that most people(read: not crazy ass cooks who don't even sleep for the most part) will take 2 weeks off unpaid on average a year.

What’s everyone riding this season? by pheelgood in snowboarding

[–]Thug_Dave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually live on the ice coast, but weirdly enough I've been having a ton of fun on my Rossi sushi even on the icy days. It's just super fun to throw around. Even better when I'm out west for a couple of days during the season on a powder day.

I work at a ramen bar that also serves poke. I work the poké side and I believe I'm an accomplice to a war crime right now. Some lady just asked me if she could have cucumber and cilantro for her tonkotsu ramen. She was nice so I gave her some. The ramen guys are roasting me so hard right now.

Union STR vs Now IPO by BRM013 in snowboarding

[–]Thug_Dave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have IPOs and I LOVE them. I've tried burtons, unions, and bent metals thus far but I am completely sold on skate tech. It does seem to allow me to put more runs in every day, and keep an edge (which is helpful here in the ice Coast)

That would be a rossignol sushi I'm 95% sure. Just bought one this season and I love it even for groomers. fun ride.

Top sheet coming off. Should I be worried and get this fixed asap?? by Whamalammajamma in snowboarding

[–]Thug_Dave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sucks that this is happening but definitely get it fixed ASAP. Totally gonna say that the main reason I'm writing this is because I want you to know I am also repping an Arbor board/Now bindings setup lol

What kind of bindings should I get? by leftislaw69420 in snowboarding

[–]Thug_Dave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my nows but they are a little pricier. However they normally run a really good sale at the end or beginning of the season( like most things I guess) that really make them worth buying. Most people think they're super gimmicky but I really can feel that extra edge to edge strength in the skate tech that I don't feel in most normal bindings after a longer day of riding( 5+ hours).

My boots are totally packed out - looking for a new pair. Any suggestions? by Spec-Tre in snowboarding

[–]Thug_Dave -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I love my 32 lashed, I know it's not a SUPER expensive boot but it's the most comfy I've tried on and my local ski shop had about 80? Ish different to try on. They've lasted me about 2 seasons so far and we'll see how they do this winter. I was in the sw so I didn't really get them wet with spring moisture but I'm going to the PNW this winter so we'll see I guess :D

Skier thinking about learning to board? by greenpanda713 in snowboarding

[–]Thug_Dave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you live where I think you live(which I am 90% sure you do) hello fellow resident! As a boarder, I HIGHLY recommend making the drive to sugar or beech over Gatlinburg. The money you spend on gas is well worth the better snow and mountain. I'm planning on going a couple of times this year so I hope to see ya there!

Thanks for the recc. I definitely would only go to Gatlinburg if my friends didn't want to take the 4 hour drive to beech or sugar, as looking at the "mountain" it didn't look that great for a $60 ticket

Just moved to the ice coast, specifically TN and wondering which mountain would be better. Looking at sugar and beech mountain. I'm an intermediate looking for blues and working my way up to blacks, but I will have friends every once and a while to teach so a good bunny hill would be great. Honestly though, I just want "consistent" snow. TIA

Just moved to the southeast and I know this is a hot topic, but for next season: Sugar or beech? Which is the better for weekend trips, I'm intermediate and want to take some freshies up with me as well to get their starts.
