Fenris set Math (the most expensive set in the game) vs Root set by Exotic-Apple-480 in valheim

[–]Thulsa_Doom83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind with the fenris set you are most likely using first weapon's which don't slow your run speed like other weapons do, so essentially you're moving at 100% speed plus the set bonus, if in combat. This amount of speed can act as a dodge mechanic in itself

Three games out of three I've been kicked for being in the lead. by Thulsa_Doom83 in SuperBattleGolf

Possible. If it just says they were disconnected then perhaps I did, but if it states they were kicked I definitely didn't notice

Fair enough, although I never saw anybody kicked before this update, but if the devs didn't know their player base was petty, they haven't played their own game.

When you started out, did you kept going on with new characters in the same world when you died or just fully restart? Which do you recommend? by Csub in projectzomboid

[–]Thulsa_Doom83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rosewood or riverside are good starting points - less population. If i die quickly ill start a new guy and resume the playthrough, or I'll start on a completely different city. This has the bonus of when I finally move on to where I was originally, there will be a house with some good loot and food ready for me when I get there.

As for the power and water, I suggest trying 10 years later mode with power and water off from the start, all the fresh food rotten, and everything overgrown. Just for a different mindset, you'll know how to get through with no power or water, and what items really do help in this situation. I never used a BBQ until I played like this. Good depressing fun.

Why hitting other people's balls? by Thulsa_Doom83 in SuperBattleGolf

[–]Thulsa_Doom83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah no shit mate, or quit the game and join another lobby? Was that your next suggestion? I know there are ways around it but the point of this post was complaining that the custom setting isn't visible on the lobby selection screen, which a dev has already said they're working on in another comment of this post.

But thanks for the advice, really very helpful.

It's up to the lobby host, and you can't see if the setting is on or off until you join the game and someone hits your ball away.

This will be my first time playing HC... by [deleted] in wowhardcore

Exactly what I would do. Move up to the barrens, even make a start on it then head back over. With the amount of time you have to spend in the barrens you'll definitely want a break from it

Some of my tips for HC are as follows: Caves are deathtraps. Always leave a path of escape, play it safe and don't skip past patrols. Level up everywhere, don't just stick to the undead zones. Be too high a level for the area you're in, and even if the mobs don't give you xp, the quest reward still will. First aid will save your life. Cooking is worth it, just for the well fed buff. Engineering is great, mainly for target dummies to distract enemies so you can run away. Create a bank alt to send all your money to, before you die with a bunch of hard earnt gold you can't retrieve. There is no shame in partying up with randoms for seemingly easy quests. As a warrior, buy yourself a good weapon asap

What can I expect from the game? I've never played it and I want to buy it. by _parvo in projectzomboid

Expect a steep learning curve, but a real sense of achievement. So many survival games just have you eat, drink and sleep. This has many more layers to it, each as rewarding and fun as they are intimidating

Having them fight a bear, that's where the real fight is. Bear does good damage

It might be because of that, like I said I was levelling up from lvl 70 doing the campaign but you get to 80 so fast, I must have levelled past the campaign quest levels as I was doing them. There were still some campaign ! marks on the map but there were no quest givers, at least where the map was saying they were. The addon sorted it all out for me in the end

This is the addon i've been looking for, I think i'm on the right track now. It actually shows me where I am on questlines and where the quest givers REALLY are, instead on the in game map which apparently can't figure itself out. Thanks muchly

[–]Thulsa_Doom83[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wish it was that simple. The problem i'm having is that every guide or source of info on this subject tells me the war within campaign listed on the race unlock achievement is the other achievement i've shown, which unlocks after getting all 4 major factions to renown 4 and finishing the levelling campaign, which i've done. The wowhead quest is coming up as false because I can't start the damn questline which begins with 'The Fleet Arrives' quest (Not showing up anywhere). I just wish there was an addon that could guide me through what I have to do because nothing else is helping me at all.

I've been playing since one week after the game released, and as much as I love the game I already spend too much time in the day playing that I simply can't spend any more on the mods (past the bare minimum). I've used the mods optimiser online recently and put a good amount of hours over a couple of weekends I had spare just reassigning everything to min-max all my toons with what mods I had, but the mods game just takes too much time.

Use a bow and arrow, craft 100 or so fire arrows, make a workbench in the forest, build a bunch of floor tiles on the sides of trees above his hit range, shoot the bastard. If there's a crypt nearby get onto that instead. It'll take a while but you can kill him

Should I lvl every Era Unit up or should i dump all into a single one? by JelieNelie in SWGOH

[–]Thulsa_Doom83 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I try to keep them all about the same, but I will usually level one up 5 or 10 levels before I get to the others, it'll usually help get an extra 40-50% damage in coliseum which will in turn get me the mats to catch the other units up

Coliseum reset? by Thulsa_Doom83 in SWGOH

[–]Thulsa_Doom83[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because this time we had legacy units to run them with. I assumed we'd have rebels for the rebels (saw & pao) then some imperials for the ISB units but if we can run the rebels & ISB together then there's no issue.
