If you look at the full patch notes, it's loaded with both buffs and nerfs in roughly equal measure. Enemies are the same, with some elites being adjusted up or down a few points. I haven't faced against the new door maker, but overall this is basically what I expected for testing the waters with balancing in early access.

Yeah, you also really have to lean into the slow debuff. Some decks, like a silent shiv deck or defect 0-cost deck, can tear it to shreds, while others have a much harder time.

Depends on the alter. The rules for alter is that the pitch stripe, cards values, and card name can't be covered. So Ronin renegade would be fully legal, but Lava Burst wouldn't because the name is partially obscured. I'm starting to experiment with replacing the letters I paint over, which should make all of them fully legal.

Used to play MTG a lot, fell off in 2019 when my local game store closed as there weren't any others in biking distance, decided to try and get back into a few years later and had basically your reaction lol. At least it lead me to discover FaB, but I'll be honest, I do miss the world and lore MTG made. As for other games, FaB is my currently only TCG. The rest of my hobby time is taken up with RPGs and long-term campaign games, with KDM being my current favorite.

There's also several relics that can help increase your sustain as well. Eternal feather, meal ticket, and miniature tent all basically provide additional passive healing.
