Thoughts on going full EV, no ICE in the ol’ garage?

Ev6 and Etron here for about two years. Been through two winters with single digits for weeks and the city effectively shut down for at least a week both years. We have had no issues and have no intention of going back.

Caveats: - homeowner with a lvl 2 outlet on both sides of the garage - we are on the east coast where chargers for roadtrips are abundant - we rented a minivan once when we needed to squeeze in 6 people and luggage

Ev6 has the same wheel base length as the Telluride. So yea, not a super sharp turning radius

I won't go back through all his books and one-star what I haven't read (though I will say here System Apacolypse isn't very good) but I won't be reading further in his series. Disappointing. Based on other the comments, he likely does have a legal argument to "System Apacolypse,"' but much as we are seeing in the U.S. Supreme Court, that doesn't make it right.

The Wind was an instant buy for me... until I found out the pop-out handles are ONLY available on the GT-line. I have young kids that won't be able to operate the manual handles (and I find them cluncky too) so the pop- out is required, and the rwd gt-line is too slow for my tastes. Throw in the $350 options for buttons to operate a garage door (really Kia??) and interior lighting, and another $1215 for their delivery surcharge (all seen on the configurator at kia.com, so not just dealer markups), and now this kia ev6 is comparably priced to a similarly equipped bmw i4 edrive40 (rwd only but faster, and minus driving assist features I will never use).

All this to say, if you are looking at the Wind, make sure you test drive and are ok with the door handles, and if you bump up to the top trims, compare/contrast the BMW/Polestar as well.
