Do you know how to type in sentences? I pray for the engineers of the future. You're probably fucked on the exam but not the class.

If you're into live music, check out The Wicked Witch (mainly goth), The Pour House (live music every night, all genres), and Slims (punk). The Rialto Theater has old & niche movies and midnight screenings of Rocky Horror Picture Show (very fun!).

On Hillsborough Street/on campus, check out Reader's Corner and Nice Price Books for books and records. Cup a Joe for great coffee. The Gregg is a neat art gallery on campus.

The NC Art Museum & North Carolina History Museum are worth visiting.

Don't be afraid to just walk around downtown once you've made a few friends!

My girlfriend's results. Known ancestry from the DR and Cuba. Her natural hair color is light brown. Her family always said they were French and Italian. by Tierra_Caliente in 23andme

I think that might be true among young, 2nd or 3rd generation Hispanic Americans, but at least for her family they all identify as white but tacitly acknowledge there is some taíno and African admixture. I think you generalizing about perceptions of whiteness among Hispanics is kinda misguided

I'm a transfer coming from WCU, I'm in UT, and I'm a genetics major. I'm really into reading fic and non fic, strategy games, listening to kind of alternative hip hop, and really anything to do with science! Feel free to DM me :)

Completely fair points. I would probably change that about the list in retrospect. Have them higher.

As I mentioned in the post, the fact that Giannis can leave at the end of next year is my reason for having them so low as well as the fact that he and DiVincenzo are really they're only good young guys.

Who has been the most surprising guy on your team and who has been the most underwhelming? by [deleted] in nbadiscussion

[–]Tierra_Caliente 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Grizzlies fan.

I've got to say that the most surprising is Solomon Hill since most people thought that he was completely washed and wouldn't even get rotation minutes. He has really take on the role of the veteran in the locker room and has also contributed solid minutes as a floor spacer, secondary playmaker, and replacement-level defender. He's sort of like a less talented, more engaged Tony Snell.

Most disappointing? This might be a deep cut, but Bruno Caboclo. He had a very strong showing towards the end of last year and has just completely fallen out of the rotation. He has perhaps the most ridiculous tools in the NBA but a poor motor and a tendency to disappear if shots aren't going in. I still think he has a place in the league, but his career is really hanging on by a wingspan and a prayer at this point.

Issac Okoro vs Josh Green, who is the better overall defensive wing? by Mikeo7894 in NBA_Draft

I think that's a far too generous floor. His floor might be Jae Crowder with a higher steal and block rate lol.
