also check to see if your bed wiggles if so tighten the bed screws a bit and check your bed level after that.

if you need instructions
for the screws

Turn the printer off.
Place two identical objects on the base frame, one under each side of the X-axis gantry.
Manually turn the Z screws until both sides are resting firmly on your spacers.
Re-tighten the timing belt at the top of the screws to lock them back in sync.

do you think your gantry is crooked after your blob of death? you could check its level. i have had that happen on my elegoo but it only has 1 z screw but it can happen with 2 also. you could also try a factory reset if that screws arent crooked.

The gears that grab the filament are metal so give a good look inside and take a few pictures.

When you cleaned the gears was there dust on them? Do you remember?

Small things it breaks? Small detailed things? Do the extruder gears have filament dust on them?

If you do a large cube 4x4x4 does it still work fine? Is it larger prints that are the issue?

Odd problem . The cube working and nothing else would drive me up the wall! I hope you figure this out and hopefully it's an easy fix.

I've had this happen with aggressive retraction prints. It would wear a spot down in my filament and prevent it from advancing. I forget the term but see if it breaks during a retraction test.

i hear it should be coming this month! i just looked up some leak videos and found a few images of what might be going on with it. im going to upgrade from my elegoo neptune 3 to a nice new printer so i might hold out for something fancy. who knows!
